22.01.2022 Welcome to Tarrleah Heritage Breeds. We are a small scale hobby farm situated in the rolling hills of Sedgwick and Sutton Grange. Our initial focus is on heritage chickens and in particular 3 breeds: Welsummers - beautiful brown egg layers... Lavendar Araucunas - blue egg layers Bantam Silver Dorkings - these are our personal favourites as they are great foragers and have inquisitive personalities. Best of all we have found they lay eggs with large yolks in comparison to their size. We are not commercial breeders, rather we love the characters of our chickens and watching them forage on our property. At the moment we are breeding to increase our flock and to sell fertile eggs and birds to others who are interested in chickens for the love of it. We also have an over supply of eating eggs at most times of the year so if you are nearby and would like a supply of fresh eggs for $4 per dozen please send us a message. 21.01.2022 Hello everyone, We now have Welsummer and Lavendar Araucuna fertile eggs for sale. We have been achieving 80-90% fertility from these 2 breeds this season. Welsummer $30/dozen... Lavendar Araucuna $40/dozen We will not be selling Bantam Silver Dorking eggs at this stage as we are getting varied fertility rates at the moment. As we will collect and store the eggs for order, a couple of days advance notice is required. Happy to arrange pick up at Castlemaine or Bendigo, and we do travel to Melbourne on the odd occasion.
