24.01.2022 Meet handsome AJ! This beautiful giant bun is a big ball of personality, and unfortunately took to beating up the dogs in his previous home He's excellent with cats and likes to roam about indoors and outdoors. AJ is desexed, 3 years old, and is currently getting used to wearing a harness. As a full grown adult, a female rabbit companion would probably be more successful than a male companion.... If you would like to apply to adopt AJ, please send us a message with the following information: Location, family members, other pets, enclosure, experience with rabbits, and any other information you might think is relevant! AJ's adoption fee is $250.

24.01.2022 If you have anything to spare, consider helping our friends at STCR save these beautiful cats

11.01.2022 Do you have room and love in your life for this beautiful trio? Socksy the goat (2yo), and Abby and Rosie (5yo sisters) the pigs are waiting to meet you! They are super happy, friendly girls and Abby especially loves to play chase and talks your ear off. Please do your research into pig and goat ownership before applying! They need lots of room along with strong, secure fencing, lots of food and the pigs will insist on their own personal pool to wallow in!... If you are interested in these girls, please send us a message including name, phone number, address, photos of the space you intend to use for the girls, and any prior experience with pigs and goats. Please note: pet homes only, and they will not be separated

05.01.2022 SARGE UPDATE Sarge (Sergeant Sillypants when he's misbehaving) has spent quality time in a foster-to-adopt home, where they have put hours of effort into his training and have provided us will invaluable insights into the right home for him. Unfortunately they have agreed that, due to the large amount of wildlife on their property, that Sarge will not be suitable for them to adopt.... Please see the foster carer's notes below: "We have really thought long and hard about Sarge as a family member and have loved fostering him. I think it has been a valuable experience for Sarge and also a time to identify what is best for him moving forward. For a dog with anxiety and on medication this time with a family, intense human contact, training and stimulation has shown his anxiety can be managed to the point of it rarely being an issue. He has had 2 tablets in total and that was the night of the wild weather. Sarge happily sits/lays , sleeps and plays without any barking or whimpering. Having said that someone has been home a lot with him. I started with small periods of time alone and have been extending that time which has worked well. However l cannot leave him in the backyard unattended due to the zoo (wallaby farm) on the other side of the fence and have struggled to walk him outside of our property due to the wildlife. This has been stressful and only l can walk him as l was concerned he might get away from the boys. This morning he had time in the yard whilst l did washing and was in and out but had broken to boards on the fence to try and get the the wallabies. For this reason, whilst the space means he can bark and not bother people a rural , bush setting with other animals is not ideal and the thought of him getting out and killing is a great concern to me. As far as children go Sarge is very good with them but can be quite rough and bitey. Tennyson is nearly 13 and short and only just manages with Sarge mainly due to having grown up with a large dog.So l would say if he goes to a family that the kids are no younger than that to be safe, but l am sure you already know that. I just wanted to share our observations for Sarge' s future success! " So, if you think you meet the criteria of having someone home most or all of the time, no young kids, good fences, and no wildlife around, along with a willingness to pursue professional training, please get in touch! (If you have already applied for Sarge before and you still think he is suitable with this new info, please apply again!)

02.01.2022 Say hello to these little cuties! Approximately 13 weeks old, these bubs were taken in from the north of the state after we messaged their old owner offering our assistance when we found their gumtree ad. We drove to Elizabeth Town to take them in and have placed them in a wonderful foster care home. Honey (F), Cookie (F), Duke (M) and Cheetah (M) have received their first vaccination and will be desexed soon, but we are taking applications for their adoption now.... They will come with an adoption pack, 3 weeks adoption trial period, and full ongoing support. They will be attending our adoption day this Saturday at petbarn kingston, but we can organise meet and greets at anytime
