24.01.2022 Good junior news................... A few of the Rowes Bay juniors traveled down to Proserpine last Sunday 25 October to play in the GNQ Junior Open which was also a Greg Norman Junior Masters Qualifier. Congratulations to Finn Couper runner up in the Gross event with Addison Neaves taking out the best Nett which was great to see them shooting some pretty good scores on the day.... Other players that made the trip were Elio Di Bella who shot his lowest 18 hole round just missing out on a count back for the Nett runner-up and Byron Morris who wasn’t far off the pace in the 9 hole event. Pleasing to see that from the event Finn and Elio also qualified for the Greg Norman Junior Master’s in December for their respective age divisions joining Sam Harrison and Addison Neaves who had qualified in earlier events. Good luck in December boys.........

I have attached the 13-19 Age Boys Gross Leader Board, sorry it's a little fuzzy! Sam Harrison shot 2 under today and is in second place, three shots behind the leader James Goffman (SC).... A great score today for Finn Couper shooting 78, well done Finn. Addison Neaves came in with a 93, and sorry no result for Jacinta. 20.01.2022 The Rowes Bay Veteran's had a wonderful day yesterday which included 9 holes of golf, followed by their AGM and Christmas Lunch of which 80 thoroughly enjoyed. Plaques of Appreciation were also presented to outgoing President Neville Smith and also to Tony Sharp for the years that he had been on the Vets committee. 20.01.2022 Four of our Rowes Bay junior boys, after qualifying for the Greg Norman Junior Masters, traveled to the Gold Coast this week to contest this prestigious event..........and what a wet week they have had. Play finished up yesterday with the last day abandoned due to wet weather. Day 1 of the 4 day event was also abandoned due to the weather so the tournament was reduced to a 36 hole event.... Sam Harrison and Elio Di Bella did make the cut for the final round which was abandoned. Sam made the cut for the gross event and Elio for the net event in the under 13 boys. Elio won the net event for the under 13 boys on a countback which was helped with his lowest 18 hole round of 78 with 1 under on the back 9. Sam finished tied for ninth for the 36 holes. Addison Neaves and Finn Couper played well in the challenging conditions where Addison wasn’t too far off the cut line and Finn had a better 2nd at the event. All the individual scores for the various age divisions are found in the following link. The Rowes Bay boys wore their Rowes Bay donated and embraided shirts with pride on the first round of the event and the attached photo is example of how good they looked. 11.01.2022 Today ROWES BAY GOLF CLUB celebrates FOUNDATION DAY 1965-2020. 55 years ago the "Steering Committee" of the Rowes Bay Country Club (as it was known then) was desirous of forming a golf club that was different from all others at the time, one that had equal rights for all (associates and members). We are all so appreciative of our "pioneer members" who in the formative years of the club not only saw but helped make the golf course and clubhouse "emerge" from the tangle of tree...s and bushes to the wonderful golf club we see today!
