18.01.2022 The ads make it look like easy money. A bit of harmless fun. But when it comes to gambling, you’re likely to lose more than you win. In addition to financial losses, you may experience negative effects on your mood, stress levels, relationships and general wellbeing. You may drink and smoke more and your overall satisfaction with life may diminish. It’s important to know the risks and where to get support if you’re worried about your own or someone else’s gambling. 12.01.2022 With the increasing need due to COVID and its impacts on our community such as higher rates of unemployment leading to a rise in those suffering family violence, drug, alcohol, mental health and homelessness issues, the need for our support services during this period has never been greater. TaskForce is very fortunate to have an amazing, hard working Board who quickly approved a special COVID brokerage fund to enable us to assist some of our more marginalised clients during this difficult time. The brokerage fund has now assisted over 40 of our most vulnerable clients and families with items such as food, nappies, white goods, furniture, payment of bills, accommodation and even some arts and crafts to help our clients pass the time during the restrictions.

12.01.2022 This year may have had it's unique challenges, but we're proud of the work we've been able to achieve. We've supported over 5,000 people to live safer, healthier, more fulfilling lives, and have made a real difference to people in need. Here are just a few of our stats this year from our most recent annual report. You can check out more at https://taskforce.org.au/2020-annual-report/
