09.01.2022 Tasmanian Forest Workers Memorial Annual Commemorative Service ... The Management Committee of the Tasmanian Forest Workers Memorial is pleased to invite families and members of the public to a Commemorative Service and Dedication of new plaques added for those men that have lost their lives whilst deriving a living from the Tasmanian Forests. The Commemorative Service will be held at the Tasmanian Forest Workers Memorial site in Heritage Park Geeveston, at 1.30pm on Sunday February 2nd in conjunction with the Geeveston Community Development Associations Wheels in the Park annual event. 07.01.2022 The Tasmanian Forest Workers Memorial is dedicated to those person who have lost thier lives, whilst working in the Tasmanian Forest Industry. The Management Committee have one criteria, which is as follows: Those persons who were deriving a living from the forest in Tasmania at the time of their death by accident.

03.01.2022 Three new plaques have been added to the Tasmanian Forest Workers Memorial. The new plaques are for the late Mr Malcolm Smith, Harold Horne and Edwin Kube. Photos of the plaques have been posted. There are now 35 plaques representing 37 men who lost their lives whilst deriving a living working in the Tasmanian Forests. If you know of a family that may wish to have a plaque added for a family member, please asked them to contact the Secretary, Peter Pepper on email at [email protected]



02.01.2022 John Joseph Francis is the latest to be commemorated on the Tasmanian Forest Workers Memorial. Terry Francis (Great Grand Son) was instrumental in the plaque being placed on the Memorial.
