01.01.2022 Had plans (literally) for over a year to build a couple of chairs for the lounge room. Took time this week to build a prototype. Its a reproduction of an early Morris chair design from Gustav Stickley (as pictured). Its built from macrocarpa which I have an ample supply of, a very underrated timber and a pleasure to work. Cushions will be ready next week hopefully. The original chairs were made from American white oak which Ive managed to find here in Tassie for the next ones. Its rather expensive but should really look nice when finished. Ill update this page as I progress.
