First of all, a big thank you to the 3 Selectors/Judges, Daisy Lavers, Nadine Reynolds & Andrew McDonald and to our patron Sue Englart for braving the challenging process of selecting award winners and those worthy of commendation. Thank you also to all our members who submitted artworks and very well done to those whose works were selected for hanging. 15.01.2022 Very topsy-turvy times at present due to Covid19! Our facilities are closed and exhibitions have been put on hold for the foreseeable future due to social distancing regulations, etc. BUT ALL IS NOT LOST! We are working on bringing you exhibitions online here on our Facebook page, as well as on the TAS website and in the monthly Newsletters. The very popular 45X45 Autumn exhibition was the first to fall victim to Covid19. However, some members submitted photographs of their canvases to Diane Baker as requested and the first 12 are included below. If you wish to purchase any of the works, follow instructions at the bottom of the May Newsletter published today. ENJOY!
14.01.2022 Our second online exhibition is that of the Life Drawing Group 'GO FIGURE'. To purchase any of the works, go to TAS webpage - toowoombaartsociety.com.au/exhibitions.
14.01.2022 Home again after a great weekend workshop in Toowoomba! Here is a small sample of some of the many student works in progress that were created over the course o...f the weekend. Most of these are only partly completed, but so much personality in all these works, and such a vast array of different styles from everyone who came along (including many beginner artists)! With COVID in full swing across the globe, workshops have been a rare event this year so it was great to get back into it again. Just one workshop left for 2020, here on the Sunshine Coast next month. If you'd like to join in the fun, click the link in the comments section to find out more. See more
11.01.2022 At last, with Covid19 restrictions easing slightly, we will be hanging artworks next week! In Culliford Gallery "There & Back Again" is a 'Pop Up' exhibition which replaces the previously advertised exhibition. It consists of works by 40+ members who stepped up to the plate to take advantage of the new conditions. In the Perinet Gallery, "Late Renaissance" features works by the Thursday oil painting group under the tutorship of Catherine Ketton. A taste of what will be on show in both galleries is below. Revised viewing times are Tuesday - Thursday 9am - 12 noon, Saturdays & Sundays: 10am -2pm. (there will be no official opening due to Covid19 restrictions).
10.01.2022 A taste of what is on offer in the Life Drawing Group's exhibition 'Go Figure'. Hungry for more? Go to TAS webpage (toowoombaartsociety.com.au) .

08.01.2022 Despite (or perhaps fortuitous) current restrictions & uncertainties, our artists continue to beaver away to produce some magnificent artworks. Two new exhibitions will open to the public from Tuesday 28th July.
06.01.2022 A few more works which were submitted for the 45X45 exhibition earlier in the year at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. We think they are well worth showing here.
05.01.2022 HURRY! 05.01.2022 It was a very small gathering at the official opening of the Members Spring Exhibition & presentation of awards & certificates which took place on Saturday 5th September. Thank you also to Allan Bruce, our President who took on the role of Emcee, Sue Englart who presented her Patron's Choice award, Nadine Reynolds one of the 3 selectors/judges who presented the Awards & prizes and Mike Grice who presented the Highly Commended & Commended certificates.
