16.01.2022 TREVOR YOUNG PASSED AWAY ON THIS DAY IN 2014...Legendary Australian drummer Trevor Young lost his battle with cancer on this day in 2014.Young was involved in music since the mid-1960s as a member of the Blacksies Babies, Chain and Blackfeather before forming the Coloured Balls with Lobby Loyde and had a short stint with Cold Chisel. Young helped Ed Nimmervoll start Australian music publication Juke magazine in 1975.After Coloured Balls, Young went on to Full Boar, Buster Bro...wn (fronted by Angry Anderson), Cold Chisel, Clawed Rains, Intruders, One Night Stand and Fingerprint, among others. In 2002 he was part of the Long Way to the Top tour playing with the reformed Coloured Balls. More recently he formed his own band, the Forever Young Band and released an album in 2010. He spent many years drumming for Tattoorose.Young died just days before the fifth anniversary of Victoria's Black Saturday bushfires, during which he and his wife narrowly escaped losing their home...R.I.P.
