23.01.2022 My Grandmother Enid Hensley née Barratt aged 21 rode her ponies from Adelaide to Second Valley in one day to look after her sick Aunt Lucy May Hunt Née Taylor. Her daughter Lorna Maple Hunt aged 10 was also a great help. Enid stayed for a year.

23.01.2022 William Taylor's second Marriage. Margaret Maple was the Mother of Edwin, Henry Charles, Eliza and Lucy. William Stephen was born to William Taylors first wife not sure who as yet but have found a Eliza married to a William Taylor, that might be her, as William called his first daughter Eliza.

19.01.2022 If you have a Lucy Taylor born 1850-1924 and she married a William Mansom 1845-1912 I have noticed in a lot of family trees that they have the wrong William Taylor as her father. There were two William Taylor's in Gawler, but her father was born 1798 in East Harptree Somerset England and died in Gawler 1869. William Taylor and his son William Stephen owned a building business which later turned into a Funeral Directors. It is called Taylor and Forgie His son Henry Charles later joined the business then The Forgie family took it over, and it's still runs today in Gawler. My Grandmother talked about her Mother telling her she would visit her family, so I know this to be correct.

12.01.2022 Hi cousins Im trying to find out more from descendants of Lucy Taylor who married William Mansom. I have noticed quite a few trees who have the wrong William Taylor as her father (there were two William Taylors living in Gawler SA at the same time and the other William Taylor was known as Bill ) As you can see from my research I have a William Maple Porter as one of her descendants and he would have been named (middle name) after his great great grandmother Margaret Maple.
