04.01.2022 Ultrasonic Inspection Non Destructive Testing material with ultrasonic is more than 50 years old. From the very early stages, using ultrasonic oscillations for detection of flaws in different materials has become a classic test method based on measurements. Today it is expected that ultrasonic testing, supported by great advances in instrument technology, will provide consistent test results within narrow tolerances. This assumes exact knowledge of the influencing factors an...d the ability to apply these in testing technology, with due regard to all the important influencing factors. The most common technique used in ultrasonic testing is the pulse echo technique. This makes use of the ultrasound traveling through the component and returning back to the probe. The ultrasound will travel in a straight line until hitting a reflector. TCS NDT offer a Ultrasonic Thickness 40 hour course with a range of dates scheduled this year, should you want to know more then contact us today.
