22.01.2022 Well what a big weekend!! First interstate trip in the new transporter up to Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Toowoomba QLD for Round 1 of 6 USC Challenge. Two heats, pole shuffle & 30 lap feature ~ Darryl Grimson ~ did so well to come home in P4 after being spun & then sent to the rear, still scratching our heads......after Heat 1 P2, Heat 2 P5, did well in Pole Shuffle to start out of P3 in the feature. Thanks to Jake for all his hard work & great looking graphics. Congratulations to Nathan Disney 1st, Clayton Pyne & Ryan Fenech. Big shout out to our major sponsor Ed Borg of United Realty. 21.01.2022 THE GRIM STRIKES BACK Official Release: NSW Late Models 16th April 2019 Darryl Grimson has picked up his first feature race win of the season at Valvoline Racew...ay beating David Doherty and Michael Hickey to the line in the United Realty NSW Late Models. Grimson started the shortened 15-lap feature from pole before a red flag on the opening lap originally came for Liam Heaton rolling in turn one, then a multi-car wreck in turn three. Once the race got back to green Grimson was never challenged and attention turned to the battle for second. Hickey was leading Doherty, although Doherty closed in and challenged on the final laps. The pair made slight side to side contact, but Doherty came out the strong of the two and claimed second spot in the dying stages. Grimson finally broke through to claim his first win of the season, and now leads the championship by a mere one point over Nathan Disney. Car handled really well, I was panicking, our good motor, we havent had it in for three of four meetings so this is only a little eighteen-degree engine but I thought there would be too much track out there for it tonight, but it was actually good. Grimson mentioned. There were so many crashes at the start, I come around to that one in turn three and four, theres cars on top of each other and I was like, What happened here? You dont see much when you start at the front, all you see is clear track until you come to lap a few. Grimson said.
