15.01.2022 Australia wins the 2019 Country cup! https://hwbot.org/competition/CountryCup2019/ You may be thinking this CC2019 review is a little late, it sure is! This post was meant for January but the world's been a crazy place lately and other thinks have taken priority, but here we are finally.... HWBOT.org run the Country Cup competition in December every year. Country Cup is about teaming up with all the overclockers in your country and trying to put up better results than other countries. Its a competition that nearly impossible for 1 or 2 great overclockers to take over. It requires a distributed team effort with overclockers of different skill and resources teaming up to achieve a huge number of results. In Australia we are very lucky to have a strong team and have won most of the recent Country Cup competitions. This year was by far the biggest year, normally there are 6-8 stages with 6-8 results per stage. This year we had 14 stages ranging from 3DMark, Cinebench to SuperPI and bus frequency records. We run an event every year in Adelaide, South Australia, being such a large isolated country most of our team members have to fly in or drive 10+ hours. We get a bench house, a few thousand litres of liquid nitrogen and target as many results as we can. This year we were fortunate enough to win 9 of the 14 stages outright and come 2nd in 4 of the 5 other stages. This was a huge team effort by our guys but there are a few people I'd like to single out who put in extra big contributions. unityofsaints, KaRta, Sgt.Bilko and his schnitzel, SniperOZ, macsbeach and Fatboynoslim were hard at work all week and in the weeks before and after the competition. Also massive thanks to our chef Ryan (Karma) who hosts our annual wine tour and an amazing meal at his house afterwards. Thanks to ASUS for your huge support this year, your current and past boards played a massive part in us winning this year. Thanks to HWBOT.org and especially Alby for running such a great competition, countless hours of thought, planning and moderation goes into running this comp and it doesn't go unnoticed by us. Enjoy an assortment of photos from the week.

14.01.2022 Overclockers will understand this one

13.01.2022 Blast from the past, great days they were when Gigabyte, Asus and MSI had global overclocking competition finals in Taiwan or somewhere in Asia. Time to bring them back?

13.01.2022 Thinking of doing a chill stream with a bunch of guys with these babies, whod be keen to check it out?

12.01.2022 Optimum Tech explores machine learning abilities of Asus bios, aka AI Overclocking functionality. Interesting stuff but clearly needs a little more work.

11.01.2022 Detailed video from der8auer on some new cryo cooling tech. I remember experimenting with TEC a long time ago but this controller that was developed is next level. No condensation and controlled power usage, very nice!

11.01.2022 Buildzoid is an unusual individual. I like his thinking...

07.01.2022 This is worth sharing, very informative video discussing CPU transistors and gate width you see discussed regularly online but it turns out it’s not what it seems.

06.01.2022 Yeah so this isnt gonna work

06.01.2022 This just never gets old.

05.01.2022 Splave did a great article on overclocking the 10900K and covering some of his testing and world records hes achieved. Well written and interesting take from a top flight clocker. Bit of chest puffing too but hes not too bad at it so its forgiven His comments about pay to play are right, liquid helium isnt the right way to go, it ruins the game a little. You could argue liquid nitrogen does too but at least LN2 is accessible by majority of overclockers and its not outrageously expensive. Good work Allen!

05.01.2022 2020 what a year, bushfires, corona virus, Gigabyte not using power and reset button on Z490!

04.01.2022 Dinos22 got the Fluke digital multimeter out to check what voltage Asus Maximus XII Apex delivers with different LLC(loadline calibration) settings

04.01.2022 Do nanometers matter? Interesting article dealing with various manufacturing processes and what it all means.

03.01.2022 New video coming out later today. Check out this insane performance tweak boost on Core i9 10900K. I have a feeling we're going to see a bunch of different benchmarks showing gains
