20.01.2022 SLMASC sailor Joel Beashel wins Australian Opti Champs.

18.01.2022 Congratulations Mick Brown on winning the 36th Australian Impulse Championship at Altona SC near Melbourne. This was a record 8th Australian Impulse championship for Mick sailing against the largest and strongest fleet of Impulses ever assembled. A fantastic achievement by a life-long member of our club. Mick has represented SLMASC with distinction for 30 years since learning to sail at the club in the sabot learn-to-sail program. He hopes to once again defend his title when SLMASC hosts the 37th Australian Impulse Championship in January 2021. Congratulations also to the other members who represented Team SLMASC in the regatta: Bruce Mac, Glenn, Gary, Chef Caldwell and Bruce Crundy. Well done to all.

17.01.2022 Come and grab a bargain and support a good cause.

16.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Jamie Roberts, one of the greatest sailors our club has produced. The son of foundation member Peter and Mavis Roberts, Jamie was in attendance at our club virtually from birth and progressed through the ranks from learning to sail in his Sabot to crewing on a NS14 and then skippering his own NS14 with great distinction. 14.01.2022 All sailing activities have been cancelled until further notice. Across the globe, individuals, families, communities, and businesses are adjusting to a new reality in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We extend heartfelt sympathy to anyone impacted by the virus, and sincere gratitude to the healthcare workers and organisations on the front lines battling this unprecedented disease. We are reaching out to provide an update on how we are responding to this rapidly evolving situation. [ 97 more words ] http://slmasc.org/all-sailing-activities-have-been-cancell/

05.01.2022 Club Loses One Of Its' Greatest It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Jamie Roberts, one of the greatest sailors our club has produced. The son of foundation member Peter and Mavis Roberts, Jamie was in attendance at our club virtually from birth and progressed through the ranks from learning to sail in his Sabot to crewing on a NS14 and then skippering his own NS14 with great distinction. Jamie was able to achieve what no other South Lakes sailor had done be...fore when he became the first member of our club to win a National Championship. Many more titles followed for Jamie in various classes but it was that first title that started an avalanche of achievement for our club. As much as Jamie brought great credit to our club in sailing it was his personal qualities that we who knew him well will remember most. Quietly spoken but a more loyal club member would be hard to find. Our hearts go out to his wife Sarah and four young children. To his mother Mavis, still an attendee at our club and sister Lyn - our thoughts are with you all. Too young. Too good. But now at rest.

01.01.2022 Full results for the season are up in the Yacht and Dinghy sections of the website. Congratulations to everyone below who made it to the podium. Hopefully we will see you all on the water again in the not too distant future and maybe a delayed presentation night near the beginning of next season.
