Briefing by the President of the Vattappallai Kannaki Amman Saiva Paripalana Sabai MR Kugathasan (in verti.) PPE Personal, Protection Equipment including respiratory facemasks, surgical apron and other related items were handed over to the Mullaitivu District Hospital (known as Maancholai hospital by locals as the hospital is located in the middle of mango trees) to be distributed to all employees working in the hospital. This Project is delivered by the Board of Trustees of Vattappallai Kannaki Amman temple. Mr Kugathasan and Sabesan the Treasurer standing next to the President. The Project’s total cost of Rs 250,000 is funded from the Vattappallai Saiva Paripalana Sabai Humanitarian Trust account held by Vanni Rehabilitation known as Tears of Vanni Sydney Australia. We continue to support this district hospital Back in 2018/19 we visited this hospital and donated physiotherapy medical equipment resulted in back pain patients avoid traveling all the way to Killinochi hospital. The Temple is closed however we are working with the temple volunteers to distribute food parcels to starving disadvantaged families living in the adjoining villages. Curfew was lifted for a few hours in Mullaitheevu and Killinochi districts. Bank staff in Mulliyavallai (Mullaitheevu) BOC and PB branches quickly processed the payments as per attached. Emergency relief payments made in addition to our monthly allowances to the disadvantaged families.
