09.01.2022 Wowzers...... Check out the size of the crane we have on site today.... Living and working in the hills means- big TALL beautiful trees almost everywhere you look! Trees, as you know are great for the environment and allow us to breathe... however when they get old and frail and start to fall... they become an issue and need to be taken down, before someone seriously gets injured. So today the children took enjoyment watching the tree loppers climb the trees and wearing the ...appropriate safety wear and harnessing. The children referred to them as "monkeys climbing trees" hehe The children asked their educators many more questions about why the trees had to be taken down and what machinery they were using and so on. 05.01.2022 "Anzac Day is a day for commemoration, for thanking the veterans and it's also part of our national story. Remembrance Day, on the other hand, is solely about remembrance. It's solely about remembering those 102,800 Australians who have given their lives for us." What is the symbol of Remembrance Day? ~The Red Poppy ~... The Red Poppy is the symbol and representation of Remembrance Day most readily identified with the Great War 1914-1918. This morning at 11am, the children sat in silence outside listening to "The Last Post." The children did extremely well with this and all the educators were very proud of them. They took great interest in understanding and learning about our Nations History and how the veterans and ANZAC's gave their lives for our future generations and freedom for the years to come. The afternoon consisted of many art & craft activities and stories on Remembrance day and the ANZACS- many inquiry questions were raised about the how, when and where this all arose from, especially in our Pre-Kinder & Kindergarten Programs.

Our ideal candidate (casual/ PPT roles available) will contribute to our centre philosophy vision, beliefs and values by creating an ongoing child safe and educational learning environment fit for all ages. Collaboratively working with a diverse team of educators and involvin...g our local community and children into our Educational Early Years Curriculum and Development. The Professional Early Years Applicant must be able meet to the following criteria: - Be flexible with availability, for all shifts between the hours of 6.30am- 6.30pm, 5 days a week as per rotating roster requirements to meet business needs. - Educators must hold a current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis/ Asthma certs, working with children's check (WWCC), Food Handling Certificate, Mandatory Child safe Reporting; and either a current Cert III/ Diploma in Children Services- Will consider working towards certificates for the right applicant. - Must be a quick learner and dedicated to educating and caring for young children, between the ages of 6 weeks until 5 years of age. - Have sound knowledge of the NQS/ NQF & EYLF and educational room setups and learning experiences. - Experience is preferred. Although we provide ongoing training, support and guidance; it is essential that you are equipped with initiative and a CAN DO attitude.
