18.01.2022 From the most city of city-slickers, to my number one helper. To be able to face the corporate jungle in a suit, and then get dirty on the front line helping me dig holes, clear trees and help deliver our animal babys, all in the same day! This video is an appreciation of the hard work that you do

16.01.2022 The 'Tree Change' that I had always dreamed of... after much convincing on my behalf that 'Teembin Pines' was a good idea, Tara and I bought what I believed to be the buy of the century. Despite warnings from relatives and friends who knew better, warning of the incomprehensible amount of work it would take to turn this derelict, run down squatters abode into something liveable, I still thought we were onto something great. Fast forward over the last few months since settleme...nt, through the numerous attempted break ins, through the kilometers of fence repair work, through the constantly having to learn lessons the hard (and expensive way), through having to entice friends and strangers alike to the property with beers to help us with the overwhelming amount of work that needed doing, and here we are. I am so lucky to say that over the last two weeks we have finally had some huge wins and that I can now see through the clouds, the silver lining of why we bought this home. To say that I had no idea what we were in for would be the understatement of the century. We are still only at the very very tip of the iceberg of what has yet to be done, but I am so much more confident with the helpers we have found along the way and the lessons we have learned that we will revive this homestead. In the midst of things going wrong and when all hope is lost, Tara always said to take a step back and remember some of the little reasons that I may have forgotten about to help me clear my perspective, and so I share one of those reasons with you. 13.01.2022 Is our 'Roody' serenading our 'Kiev'? Or is he attacking her?

13.01.2022 After being told that we couldn't mix the Fowls, chooks, ducks and pigs together for fears that they would attack each other, we tried raising them as baby's all at once together. Now, months later, they are all one big family as far as they're concerned. They eat, sleep and roam around together and have alerted myself to danger a couple of times. Through this experiment we've found that they not only wont attack each other, but will look out and protect each other. Next time we try this, we will add some Geese and other animals as well. #ducklings #babyanimals #hobbyfarm #farmlife #farmanimals #guineafowl
