22.01.2022 It's such an exciting time of the year, things are wrapping up, chrismas is getting closer and the grade 12s who have been working their guts out at school for 13 years, graduate and say their farewells. What a thing! 13 years! Some people will never again invest 13 years in something..so it really is pretty amazing! I didn't do it. I missed out. It was just the way it was for me back then over 20 years ago, the universe had other things in mind for me. So, each year I'm so p...roud of these guys who do this, who work so hard and make it through to the end. And it's not an easy ride.... not even close for some, coz as we all know, school isn't just about rocking up and passing tests, there's this total rollercoaster of challenges like making friends, teenage hood and probably (it was for me anyway) keeping your mental health in check! It was really exciting to get this opportunity to photograph Aly. She was completely stunning, you can see this by just looking at the photos The atmosphere that afternoon was electric, so many handsome suits and beautiful dresses and so very much excitement of the evening to come. 21.01.2022 #brothers I just love how baby bro is wondering what he's supposed to do with the stick Sometimes getting that 'posed' photo just isn't the way the team want to roll. 4 boys aren't interested in that sort of thing...we weren't completely unsuccessful, through the magic of Photoshop there is a couple of images where all their precious faces can be seen (also some hilarious grumpy faces ). ... But, when it came to an image to share I LOVE this one. #lifestyle Big brother happily whacking the tree, the backlit dust looked magic. 17.01.2022 Check out this little man! How gorgeous is he? Alex was a newborn client of mine from 2 years ago. 2 years!! How time flies that fast is beyond me, because it really doesn't feel like anywhere near that much time since i had the pleasure of photographing this seriously cute dude as a squishy new babe.... To be honest, i wasn't sure how i'd go photographing a 2yo in the studio, as we all know, they can be such unpredictable little people. But gosh! Alex was amazing! 10.01.2022 Have you ever been in one of those moments where words just can not describe the overwhelming emotion you feel? The kind that is explodingly wonderful. This was actually one of those days. I honestly can’t use words to expressed the absolute excitement, exhaustion and complete honour it was to not only share in this day, but to be so lucky as to capture the memories <3 <3 This story started about 6 years ago when I first met Jamie and Tamika with their tiny babe Jakayla. Oh s...he was the cutest little thing. With all the right kind of squish and absolute perfection. The years that followed were wonderful, I watched J grow as I captured each stage and then privileged to create an announcement memory as they expected a sibling for J. And without a doubt the 2.0 version Mahlia was as scrumptious as her sister <3. It was all the best kinds of feels watching this family grow. SO, can you imagine how magic this was? This chance to be part of such a momentous day for this guys? Oh, and meeting so many of their amazing family and friends. Just bliss! Tamika and Jamie, Thank you for all of these years and all of these memories. 05.01.2022 Oh wow, it has come to this time already. It is with a heavy heart that I say #farewell to @tehlynbaishots Photography. My little family has decided to move further north. We are super excited about it, but sad also to say good bye to so many beautiful people, family, friends and clients.... This won't of cause be the end of me, there is still a couple more clients booked in and I'll need to share their images with you all And once we've settled in our new location, I look forward to doing a re-brand and still offering photography.
