22.01.2022 Temple Tip - Drop the ego If you use a gym, leave the ego at the door. As a coach, we often see people using an odd technique to perform an exercise. Moving against Body Mechanics and Movement Patterns usually leads to one destination, injury. Listen to your coach at your gym, and don't assume you know best. It is our job to ensure you train injury free. We don't want you hurt, and we don't pull our ideas from a magazine.... So work with your coach/Trainer/PT and listen to what they ask, it's for your benefit. We want you to be stronger, not weakened through injury.

10.01.2022 Temple Tip - Up your fibre intake Along with protein and good-for-you fat, fibre is one of those nutrition elements that keeps you full and fuelled all day long. And if you are trying to get fit and shed pounds, fibre is your best friend. In fact, in a recent study, participants who consumed 30 grams of fibre a day ended up losing weight and improving their heart health . So, when it comes to staying healthy and slim, aim for that 30-gram fibre goal!

05.01.2022 Temple Tip - Don’t Drink Your Calories While most people know they should avoid sodas and milkshakes, many people don’t realise that even drinks advertised to boost athletic performance or improve health can be loaded with unwanted ingredients. Sports drinks, coffee beverages and flavoured waters tend to be very high in calories, artificial colours and added sugar.... Even juice, which is often promoted as a healthy beverage, can lead to weight gain if you consume too much. Focus on hydrating with water to minimise the number of calories you drink throughout the day.
