25.01.2022 Day 4. Ive now completed 2.1km towards my 20km goal. The messages of support have been so very welcomed and are really helping me in the pool. The connections we make by feeling open to talk about these things are helpung change the stigma and helping our youth to feel OK to open up and express their mental health and lead to happier more stable lives. 21.01.2022 Morning rays got me moving How often do we feel that lack of energy, or the need to reach for coffee, energy drink, glucose to lift us through the morning or afternoon? The question is how much have you moved in the past hour or two? Getting out in the sun, barefoot on the grass doing some form of movement will energise your system far greater than reaching for that energy source.... The point is you can hydrate and energise your system through breath, movement and soaking up what is around you. Tune into the outdoors, really listen, listen to your breath as you move. Clear the mind and energise your system! Use this little energiser that I'm performing, with or without a weight! 10 - 15 mins is all you need. 06.01.2022 Online Client Progress Wow 2020 has been a year for adapting and time to up skill and work on yourself. @orvillebloke has been a stand out for this; working with my online programing and getting pain free posture and mobility gains along the way. ... I've worked with Neil in a 1:1 environment when living in Darwin and currently via Online from NSW - SA. Although Neil is living 2-3000km away we have been able to reduce and move pain out of a right shoulder impingement, compressed back and aid in gait function for running mechanics. Neil's 8 month progress is a testament to his tenacious drive to better himself and trust my coaching to a pain free and mobile lifestyle. 05.01.2022 Mobility work How much time do you spend on this in your training? Is it relevent to your current training structure?... It depends on the volume of work that your getting in or not getting in. My workload has increased vastly since paticipating in @lapsforlife.aus this month. Swimming on top of my normal gym loading has meant, more mobility sessions to prevent injury and to maintain posture, strength and energy levels. Preperation for your exercise is always key, but dont skip out on those mobility days of Myofascial release, dynamic movement, stretching with in movement or deloading movement days.
