24.01.2022 Capturing Year 12 Art

24.01.2022 Seven teams from Tennant Creek High School participated in the ASX Schools Sharemarket Game Season 2 held between the 27th August and 4th November 2020. The competition was fierce. Our teams were competing against 48 teams in the NT and 15,193 teams across Australia and New Zealand. On the 17th November, the ASX announced our year eleven student, Joel Verdillo as the champion for the Northern Territory. He is ranked 17th out of 15,193 teams in the country. The other TCHS te...ams also ranked 3rd, 9th, 10th and 16th out of 48 teams in the NT. A certificate and $400 were presented to Joel at the assembly today. Congratulations to all winners!

20.01.2022 Today, Miss Vizard’s Media classes and Ms Jordan’s Health students teamed up to record their first two episodes for Tennant Creek High School Radio. The Middle Years students have been working hard learning all about the components of radio, while the Seniors have been busy becoming experts on a range of health topics ready for their interviews. This collaboration forms part of both their assessments for the term, with the health education interviews available to all the community in the coming weeks on 8CCC. Watch this space we’ll let you know when they’ll be going live!

14.01.2022 Congratulations to the Flynn House for their victory in the Athletics Carnival ahead of 2nd place Noble and 3rd place Stuart. Please note that TCHS will be open throughout the 2-week holiday break for Year 12 students. We look forward to providing the support that is needed as our Year 12’s head towards a number of assessment deadlines.... Progress reports for Senior Year and Middle Year students should be on their way to families. They have been prepared to provide a snapshot of Term 3. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday 12th October.

05.01.2022 Women's Health Week 2020 Women's Health. Powerful stuff. Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation held a fantastic Women's Health Expo today at Civic Hall. ... Our High school girls came along and joined in the fun. There was lots to see and do, giveaways, games, health checks, yummy and nutritional food and engagment with local community services about looking after your overall health and wellbeing. Big shout out and thank you to Pam Dillon for running the games, STARS Foundation for bringing all our students to the Civic Hall and all our awesome local organisations for coming together during women's health week to hold the event.

03.01.2022 Welcome to our new incoming Assistant Principal Alison Hind. Alison commenced Monday of last week and has been working alongside Pauline Davenport. Tennant Creek High School has also welcomed Frankie White and Linda Renfrey into Administration roles over the past two weeks. It is great to have everyone on board.

Students from the high school were involved prior to the event by designing a community suicide awareness poster and today they were all awarded with a voucher and certificate. ...
