25.01.2022 It’s the statistics and insights of these facts that show just how racial oppression is still very relevant in today’s society.....

23.01.2022 Thank you @Sussana! Remember those kind words I shared with you yesterday? This is the beautiful face behind the beautiful words. -CELEBRATE TIME! This woman is one of the most self aware people I know, she inspired me through our series to totally remember how important that is! Self awareness is a massive tool to use when you’re in the space of personal growth but can so easily be dismissed. ... It’s the choice you make to deepen the connection to yourself and try to understand how things are effecting you maybe physically or emotionally. Try these steps to practice your self awareness muscle Ask yourself how you’re feeling at the moment? what’s happening around you that is impacting that emotion? are you ok with that? what can you choose to do that is within your control to either keep those feel good vibes or change to work towards not letting that impact your wellbeing? The beauty is in being ok with all of our emotions, the focus is more about what’s causing those feelings and do we feel like it’s impacting our wellbeing? If so what can we do to navigate through it!! YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY, IT’S NOT AN ENTITLEMENT ITS A RIGHT Keep practising, check in with yourself throughout the day. It’s amazing what the awareness may just bring forward for you. I’ll share mine in the comments, I’d love to hear yours too Thank you for the inspiration Sussana See more

18.01.2022 Chaos, patterns and pathways that sometimes frame our lives can have the ability of allowing us to forget the beauty we hold within. Don’t let this become your story. Forget the distractions, block out the noise, Choose your path, look within to find your answers. You are a product of so much more than just your physical being.... Know that you have everything you need within you- you have the knowledge and experiences of your ancestors to guide you. Know that you are beautiful-you pocess so much compassion, heart felt emotion that is your feminine connection to self. You’ve got this beauty!! Don’t let the framework of our sometimes busy world allow you to lose yourself. Stay centred and true to your unique beauty See more

16.01.2022 How do you look across this world we navigate each and every day? Here’s a view from my perspective this morning. How are your senses influencing your start to today? I see sunrises that encourage new opportunity each and every day.... I hear the sound of children’s laughter that remind me to surrender and enjoy. I feel the ground beneath my feet nurturing and holding space for life. I smell fresh air and as I take a deep breathe in, it forces my eyes close and sense the importance of simplicity. I taste abundance as though it’s on the tip of my tongue just waiting for the right moment to overflow with my community through my motivation. Seeing and feeling the world from my souls perspective. Nothing radiates self confidence more than acknowledging how you feel each and every day Surrender to feeling joy, open your eyes to new opportunities, respect papatuanuku (Mother Earth) and acknowledge all that she provides for us, appreciate the simple things and know that it is your birth right to feel abundant. Kia pai to r, have an awesome day See more

12.01.2022 A good nights sleep is so vital to our wellbeing, it’s always one of the first things I question if I’m feeling a bit shitty or just out of whack! How much sleep have I been getting lately? While we sleep our body naturally repairs itself, our skin regenerates, our hormones rebalance and neurologically our brain creates new pathways for the following day so if you aren’t getting enough you are already setting yourself up to fail! Sorry to sound so ...blunt but it’s true. The next time you’re feeling a little out of whack and can’t seem to pin point the reason why maybe consider how much sleep you’ve been getting. Maybe you feel like you can’t handle your emotions or everyone is just getting under your skin or maybe it’s something as simple as just feeling sluggish and unmotivated? My biggest tip on how to have a great day is to get a good nights sleep my friend!! I generally don’t have issues sleeping but that might just be because of this bottle of essential oil!! A few drops in my diffuser next to the bed and a drop on my big toe and across my heart means lights off to me in no time!! Send me a DM or comment below if you’d like more info on how essential oils may be able to support you. Here are a couple other great night time diffuser blends to have you drifting off in no time 3 Lavender Peace, 1 Spikenard 2 Cedarwood, 2 Wild Orange, 1 Clarysage 3 Lavender, 3 Frankincense Do you use essential oils to help you sleep? What’s your night time routine to have a good nights sleep? Pmarie (Good night) my friends, please excuse me as I gently drift away. Wishing you all a beautiful nights sleep in prep for an amazing start to the week tomorrow See more

12.01.2022 My gawd I just had to share this..... go get it my friends

10.01.2022 My initial message for this post was so much deeper but what’s coming up as I sit to post this is much more about the surface!! Still a message of honouring your body!! We have so much to be grateful for with what our body provides for us!! It’s the physical aspect of our being, it gives us the ability to walk, play sport, protect our internal organs, as women provide the first home for our growing babies, the ability to hold something and so much more..... Well the respe...ct and gratitude I now have for my body and all it’s entirety has now become so clear because I have injured myself I hate that it took a bit of adversity to bring me to this realisation but it is what it is! Nearly 3 weeks ago I was playing netball with my awesome team, jumped to defend the ball and landed with a ruptured ACL and small hairline fracture to the bottom of my femur!! Surgery coming up Let me tell you my essential oils have never been used so much to help me get through this Mama boss down!! I only just got the full diagnosis yesterday and it’s really hit me. I enjoy being active, I’m never sitting around in one position for too long and it made me realise just how much I take my body for granted. It leaves me curious, how many of us actually really take the time to honour our bodies? If you do can you please share with me some of the ways you look after yourself physically or emotionally!! Like I said... my initial post for this image was based around a much deeper connection to our body so I’ll elaborate on that a bit more and change it into a blog post!! Watch out for an Invitation for you to check it out. Enjoy yourself today and try not to take for granted the gifts our body provide for us every single day Inspire me today my friends

09.01.2022 The importance of culture for myself and my work is fundamental. For me it helps to identify a sense of belonging. Connecting to culture and understanding the importance of it within somebody’s way of thinking or belief systems can gain a great sense of who they/you are and therefore begin a relationship valuing respect and understanding. Cultural awareness begins within yourself from the language you use to describe someone and efforts made to understand customs and be...liefs. Maybe not always agreeing but respecting and understanding. I’m aware of my ancestry and acknowledge that I am of predominantly Irish, German and New Zealand Mori decent but I am also very aware that I am rich in Mori culture. There’s a difference there. My beliefs, values and thought processes are aligned more with my Mori culture, not out of priority or favouritism but from knowing, appreciating, learning and awareness. One day I will learn the customs of the other parts of me and the thought of that excites me. How do your describe your cultural identity? What is the culture of you? Have you considered tracing back your ancestry to acknowledge who you are and how that influences your perspective? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic, share with me a little about who you are and your values in a comment below so I can also learn to understand the culture of our community here Or could there possibly be a correlation between disconnection to culture and aspiring to have more self confidence because deep down you are unsure of who you are culturally? 09.01.2022 My intention today is to honour my body and focus on its needs! Arrrgh!! My leg injury has been really testing my negative self talk which then..... you guessed it, in the past has effected my motivation and perspective! The way we talk to ourselves has a massive Impact on the way we view ourselves and the world. Don’t get me wrong at times I've found dealing with my injury over the past 5-6 weeks difficult and I’ve felt embarrassed, angry and just upset about it all. This m...essage is about letting you know it’s ok to feel like that when your body is pushing you to your limits but what’s most important is then how you recognise and deal with that. My tips: Allow the emotion Recognise how it’s making you feel physically Breathe through it Talk it out with someone Flip the way you are talking to yourself to a positive way of thinking e.g Instead of: I just can’t do this anymore, I’ve had enough. Try: (acknowledge your emotion) , .(give yourself a direction on how to get through it) * If you are strong enough go a little deeper with your self talk. 'my body has got me through giving birth and all other things I thought I couldnt do in the past and it will get through this as well.' Lastly, move through it. An added tool I always use for my emotional stability is the use of essential oils. Grapefruit in particular is the oil of honouring your body. I’ve been massaging it diluted with a carrier oil over my legs and using my affirmation to help keep me in a better state of mind. To give it an added boost I’ve added Bergamot essential oil ( the oil of self acceptance) and it smells sooo good!! Try this blend of you are needing a bit of self love and reassurance with honouring your body 3 3 10 (I like to use fractionated coconut oil because of it light weight and texture) Let’s take the time to honour ur body today and see how that feels Kia pai to ra, have an awesome day

07.01.2022 This is my service to you, and if this sounds like you, you INSPIRE me MAURIA TE PONO Believe in yourself... I’m talking to you my friend, E hoa!! You’ll start to see as my posts keep coming I use a few references back to my mori roots. I can’t help it, it’s a massive part of who I am and an even bigger passion to try and be a person that mori women can identify with in the coaching world so I can bring value to women who respect their culture and maybe they can relate to the deep connection I have with mine. One word or whakatauki at a time When I started looking for my first coach to work with, I was looking for someone who I thought I could identify with and have an understanding of what my core values were but I couldn’t find anyone. It left me fearful that I would have to explain myself... thankfully I have found a few coaches who have made me feel valued and in doing so have given me my self belief that I can be the coach for others that I needed. I’m not coming from a place of knowing, but a place of being. I’m making the steps to reconnect to my culture and call in women who feel the same. I’ll drop a few whakatauki (proverbs) or use a bit of Te reo Mori (mori language) within my musings but please know it comes from a place of respect, pride and comfort. I can’t speak Mori fluently anymore it’s a journey I’m on again to reconnect but I aspire to be that women again and that’s ok, I am enough and so are you. Fears of not being enough can be so limiting but do you know most of those thoughts are just misconceptions in our our mind. You see, I want to assist women who are willing to step into their own self actualisation and empowerment.Realise their potential, have a stance against racial oppression and instead use that adversity as a reason to overcome our limiting beliefs and lead a life you truely love. You my friend, deserve to start valuing yourself MAURIA TE PONO

06.01.2022 Today I choose to sit and reflect .... Those of you who know me, know I’m in every sense ‘the extrovert’ so this is harder than it may seem for me.I love people’s company, sharing stories, enjoying infectious laughter and being out there enjoying all the things, I love it, it gives me all those feel good vibes but I’ve come to realise to keep enjoying these things that light me up I also need to take some downtime to recharge Sit and reflect ... The music is on I’m listening to some sweet sounds of six60 and taking my thoughts back home to Aotearoa I’d really love to know how you spend your weekends. When you’re online where are you hanging out? If you’re out and about what do you like doing? I’ll share with you in the comments below what’s up with my energy at the moment and why I’m choosing to just sit and reflect today. Journal is out, phone is down cup of tea in hand and well I guess the only thing I’m missing are the crystals Happy weekend beautiful people, I hope you’re out there making the most of it - secretly wishing I was there with you See more

04.01.2022 ' ? Im all in on this one You know those moments when you’re all up in your own head and you feel like something’s just not right. That Inner coflict. Take the time to be honest with yourself here. Often the conflict can come from trying to please others or the desire of control to move faster or quicker in a certain direction. A desire to be seen.... .....but what if you choose to honour you, honour your own thoughts, values and connections to who you are. Would there still be the inner conflict to choose integrity or personal gain? Could personal gain come from a place of integrity through this perspective. !! Follow your heart, Always choose integrity to feel confident in who you are and the actions you choose. You’ve got this my friend. You are enough! You have everything within you to lead with integrity in all you do. See more

04.01.2022 Whoa 2 posts in 2 days who is this woman!! Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to get over myself yesterday and just put up my bloody post!! But I’m totally owning that fear and celebrating getting out of my own way. See the first thing you learn to do when you work with a coach is to ... C E L E B R A T E Celebrate who you are, celebrate facing your fears and within that you’ll find you might just learn to love yourself again. It’s a progression, learning to love yourself may just lead to the start of believing in yourself as well Imagine what that could feel like See more

03.01.2022 Hey friends I haven’t been posting as regularly lately. It’s school holidays here and I’ve been soaking up some time with this little beauty and her handsome little brother. My 2 biggest take-aways so far ... It hasn’t all been tea parties, nail painting, dance offs and endless laughter. Believe me there have been a few raised voices, tears and frustration in the mix but I find myself in a place of reflection, this is what I’ve learned and possibly why my children are still up there with my biggest inspirations in life. ! Multitasking is so over rated.... I’m finding I get much better results when I am focused on one thing at a time. Did I mention much faster results aswell. In everything you do give it your full presence. If you are hanging out with your kids, cooking dinner, studying, working, cleaning the house. Do it all with one focus at a time. Your sanity and children will thank you for it!! : How kind, Forgiving or generous are you to yourself? I ask you this because it keeps comming up with my clients who are so hard on themselves yet so loving and kind to others. Why do we often find it so hard to treat or speak to ourselves the same way we would to those we love most in this world? For example my daughter had a meltdown earlier this week yet I was so understanding for her. I was kind and gentle with my approach to her. I knew she hadnt had much sleep so I suggested she have a rest. I reassured her that the effort she had put in was enough and that it was totally ok to fall a little short of the expectation she had put on herself. We need to treat ourselves with the same respect Have a relationship with YOURSELF that is encouraging, loving, reassuring and stop being so hard on yourself. I see this with my clients and it breaks my heart because I used to be the same. You have permission today my friend to start celebrating, reassuring, loving and being kind to yourself. It’s not cocky, arrogant or unrelatable, its beautiful, inspiring and confidence in who you are. See more

02.01.2022 ALL THE FEELS A lot of my posts since I’ve become a certified life coach have been about celebrating and all those feel good vibes acknowledging who you are but have been wondering what it would actually be like to work with me?? Here’s what one of clients has to say about that..... isn’t she beautiful - thank you so much @Susanna Christine for your kind words!! ... Our series together will be one I’ll never forget If you took the opportunity to work with myself or another coach how would you like to feel by the end of it?

02.01.2022 How does the word Exclusive sit with you? Can I share my perspective and bravely ask to evoke a discussion around it?Im curious.... I’m all about making people feel valued, seen and appreciated for who they are, but when I see or hear the word exclusive being used especially in marketing for products or services it brings up quite the opposite of all of these. Yes, don’t get me wrong I’ve bought into FOMO at times and that’s the cause for this post. ... I have a vision to be part of a collective or community of people that would rather celebrate the idea of being inclusive it’s so much more inviting, comforting and damn right empowering to feel accepted as you are Not feeling like you have to be a certain way or buy a particular product to be part of an exclusive!?? So I’d like to welcome and celebrate the concept of an inclusive movement here with Wairua Essentials. You don’t have to fit a perceived mould to be here, you don’t have to be defined by any labels to feel included here. I rather like the idea of an inclusive community as opposed to an exclusive one. Exclusive can be far too intimidating, judgemental and dare I say a little pretentious Know that you are enough Know that you deserve acceptance Know that you are worthy to feel included!! You need to start with you, you need to believe See more
