09.01.2022 COVID-19 TENNIS COACHING UPDATE 18 March 2020 as directed from Tennis Australia. Coaching will continue, but this is being monitored daily.... The following guidelines are now in place. **Before You Play** - Stay at home if you: - have been overseas or exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days - have flu-like symptoms - in a high risk health category, for example asthma etc **Attending Tennis Coaching** - attendance by participants and coaches only - only one parent/guardian should accompany younger children where possible - those parents/guardians are to stay either 1.5m distance from others, stay in the car or drop off/pickup **Tennis Coaching and Equipment** There is no specific evidence that balls can spread COVID-19. We do know that on hard surfaces contamination by respiratory droplets from an infected person can potentially survive up to three days. Therefore: - soap and hand sanitiser will be provided before and after tennis lesson - all tennis coaching equipment will be limited and will be disinfected before/after each lesson - students will not be allowed to handle any coaching equipment except tennis balls and their own racquet It is totally understandable if you are unsure about your child attending. Tennis is one of the few sports that has no contact, so social distancing is therefore still achieveable. If you feel that you no longer want to allow your child to attend at this time or have any questions, please let me know.

08.01.2022 Well that’s a wrap for 2019! I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and wish all past and present students and their families a very safe and Happy Holiday Season. Merry Christmas!

06.01.2022 Tennis Coaching will be recommencing the first week in Term 3. If you are returning, this is the time to confirm your place for next term. There are limited spots available so if you are interested please let me know and I can find a suitable class or put you on the waiting list.

04.01.2022 Reminder: Tennis Lessons for Tuesday and Wednesday will commence next week 11/12 February and Friday lessons will commence 21 February.

04.01.2022 Totally agree with this! Tennis specialization too early for younger players can lead to overuse injuries and burnout. This is becoming more common. Recommenda...tions; 1. Participate in 1-2 sessions per week of another activity (Football, dance, swimming, basketball etc) 2. Encourage free play (nonstructured exercise - climb a tree, go to the local outdoor play gym, play outdoors with friends etc) 3. Follow a structured junior strength development plan. This helps combat injuries and provides training diversity for players. (Great image by "The Tennis Physio")
