19.01.2022 UPDATE: All Clubs will remain closed until 27th Dec inclusive. The council will review this and make a further decision. The 2 centres who are open are not under council agreement and have their own guidelines to follow. However, we have spoken with NSW Health and with the council and this decision to remain close will continue until we are advised otherwise on the 27th Dec. All Centres/complexes are CLOSED until further notice! ... - please stay home and be safe!! We need to be vigilant and get this under control especially before Christmas!

19.01.2022 Chief Health Officer, Dr Kerry Chant, has written to all Community Sporting Organisations requesting that additional measures be taken to protect against the spread of COVID-19. It is important that our Tennis community remains vigilant and proactive in continuing to promote and practise COVID-19 safe practices throughout the state. With that it is important to now update your club COVID-19 Safety Plans detailing the actions that will be implemented to address these new requ...irements: Ensuring processes are in place to exclude participants (including spectators and officials) if they have visited Victoria in the 14 days prior. Ensuring processes are in place to exclude participants (including spectators and officials) if they have attended any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website. Limiting entry to indoor facilities and fenced venues to one person per participant where practical Restricting spectator entry at adult community sport Distributing communications to participant databases via e-newsletters, social media and organisations websites reinforcing that only parents and carers should attend community sports activities where possible Increasing signage in venue carparks and common entry points at outdoor venues Making PA announcements at venues reminding people to limit spectators to parents and carers where possible. 08.01.2022 TNB are sad to announce we have reluctantly postponed junior competitions effective immediately and open competitions as of the morning of the 30th March 2020. The coronavirus situation has been monitored closely and we have abided by the government and TNSW guidelines however we believe it is time to pause! We want to keep you all safe and encourage you all to continue to follow the strict guidelines and hygiene protocols. 26th March 2020.

07.01.2022 An important message from Tennis NSW

07.01.2022 In the event of extreme weather, during a Tennis Northern Beaches event/competition, involving players under 16 years of age or older than 60 years of age (i) Where the forecasted temperature determined 1 hour prior to the schedule start of play of an ambient temperature of 36 degree Celsius or greater, play may be cancelled and broadly communicated to all clubs/teams/participants. (ii) Where by during play, if the ambient temperature is of 36 degrees Celsius or greater play ...must be suspended (on the completion of the current game). If the conditions continue for greater than 90minutes play may be cancelled by club captains, team captains or officials. Play may also be cancelled by mutual agreement within the 90 minute period. (iii) During a tournament, if the ambient temperature is of 33 degrees Celsius or greater player are allowed to take a 10 minute break between the second and third set of a 3 set match. (g) In the event of extreme weather, during a Tennis Northern Beaches event/competition, involving players over 16 years of age (i) Where the forecasted temperature determined 1 hour prior to the schedule start of play of an ambient temperature of 38 degree Celsius or greater, play may be cancelled and broadly communicated to all clubs/teams/participants. (ii) Where by during play, if the ambient temperature is of 38 degrees Celsius or greater play must be suspended (on the completion of the current game). If the conditions continue for greater than 90minutes play may be cancelled by club captains, team captains or officials. Play may also be cancelled by mutual agreement within the 90 minute period. (iii) During a tournament, if the ambient temperature is of 34 degrees Celsius or greater player are allowed to take a 10 minute break between the second and third set of a 3 set match. (h) When captains of opposing teams mutually decide to abandon play in cases of extremely hot weather. The points for any remaining sets are divided equally. (i) When an individual is unduly affected by extremely hot weather it is entirely that individual's responsibility to determine for themselves if they are fit to continue the match, taking into consideration their own health and wellbeing and any detrimental effect that continuation of play in such weather may cause. If any individual is unable or unwilling to continue a match in these circumstances then remaining Sets must be forfeited. No substitute permitted.

Junior competitions will resume from Saturday 30th May Please make sure your club and coaches are ready for the competitions and please make sure you follow the updated Tennis NSW guidelines. 04.01.2022 Update: 28th Dec 2020 Tennis courts are permitted to open once again under strict rules. 1. You must use NSW COVID QR code... 2. You must not have anymore than 5 on the court (northern zone) no more than 10 on the court (southern zone) for exercise purpose. 3. You must follow the NSW guidelines of hygiene and social distancing. Call your local club to get moving!

02.01.2022 Good evening, as many of our affiliated clubs you would have already received a phone call this afternoon from the Northern Beaches council to inform us we have been advised we may open our courts back up however there are many other factors that need to be considered before we do this which we are still chasing answers for you all. So please stay tuned as we communicate with the council. A club announcement email from TNB will be coming as soon as we know more details. Stay safe all

02.01.2022 UPDATE ON TNSW RANKING TOURNAMENTS: TNSW have advised that all JT tournaments have been suspended until 12 October 2020. Planning, allocations for 2021 have not yet taken place given the current Covid environment.
