25.01.2022 Congrats to Anugrah our Morphett Vale Tennis Club junior tennis player of the week. Playing competition for the 1st time last Saturday he led his Orange Ball team to a 4-2 victory, winning his singles and two doubles. Well done Anu!

22.01.2022 Enjoyed the 1st Cardio Tennis session this morning Morphett Vale Tennis Club. It was hot but the shaded court made it a breeze For 6 brave players. We have a cardio session every Wednesday morning 10 to 10.45. Contact us if you want to join - 1st session is free, $10 per session thereafter. We will set up an evening session soon, let us know if you are interested.

19.01.2022 It was great to have a pro tournament back with the Adelaide International and Ash Barty winning the women’s title. Sean, as an accredited hitting partner, had a whale of a time warming up pro players and having some hitting sessions with them. They were not allowed ask for photos with the players but I did on one occasion. In the pic Sean with Babos Tímea - one needs to hit the gym more! Sean won’t be here during the 1st 2 weeks of the school term so contact us if you want a session with him this week before Thursday.

19.01.2022 Congrats to Benny on winning the B14 doubles at the 2020 Country Carnival and Reade Park JT Over the holidays. Benny also was runner up in the Carnival singles and a semi-finalist at Reade Park. Good work after a long injury lay off!

18.01.2022 Finally our pandemic interrupted Hotshots program for the term was completed today at Morphett Vale Tennis Club. Lucky to have a great group of kids, and fantastic assistant coaches, Victoria and Kara, involved. We had some pre Christmas fun, sorry for those already away on holiday but I’m sure you are having fun as well

17.01.2022 Congrats to Dylan Wilson on winning the 12U boys singles at the 2020 Country Carnival and the boys doubles at the Ready Park Grass court JT over the holidays. Dylan also finished 3rd at Reade Park in the boys singles.

Our Div 9 mixed team has had a rough start to the summer season at Morphett Vale Tennis Club but they have been competitive and are still smiling! Taking into account all those squandered game points I pick this team to make a big comeback in the course of this season . Good luck to all our juniors this weekend

12.01.2022 I think everyone knows but just in case: no coaching for at least the next 6 days starting tomorrow. A few were lucky to have a session today and take home some footwork drills and shadowing they can do. Stay safe everyone and hopefully we will all be back on court soon.

08.01.2022 Our player of the week is Neil who has been a pillar of strength at the no 1 position in our Boys Div 1 team and has already come out twice this season to help out. Neil lost only one match singles during the Winter season, a loss that he reversed in the finals and has been undefeated in the two matches he played so far in Summer. 07.01.2022 All groups and hotshots tennis are now cancelled following the PM announcement yesterday evening restricting us to two on a court (no gatherings of more than 2 people allowed outside). Individual (one-on-one) lessons will continue as normal while still allowed, however, only the student is allowed on the court and parents will have to remain outside the fenced-off club premises. Make sure that water bottles are filled before coming to the courts! Please do not feel in anyway obliged to come to tennis if you feel uncomfortable to do so, just let us know thanks. We are strictly following TA guidelines, contact us if you need further information. Stay safe everyone!

Well done to all our players whose season has come to an end, everyone at least got a win or two under the belt. Into the finals tomorrow are MV Div 1 and 4 boys, MV/N Div 6 and 7 boys, MV/N Div 2 girls and MV Div 7 and 11 men. Go big and have fun .

Sean finished 4th in the 1st event, 3rd in the 2nd one and now hoping to do better in the 3rd event that finishes tomorrow. 03.01.2022 Our junior player of the week is Jules. Playing his first season in the Div 1 Friday night boys he has been very worried about getting his first singles win. After some very close losses 8/9, 8/9 and 7/9 he finally got his Div 1 singles win last Friday evening at Morphett Vale Tennis Club. Well done Jules now for the next one!
