What will the decor look like or what will you have as centrepieces? 4. How about selecting and making a list of the music as you walk down the aisle to the love of your life. 5. Being a Celebrant is so rewarding BUT, DID YOU KNOW that your celebrant acts on behalf of the Australian Government - we check, complete and lodge all documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages and ensure that your ceremony complies with the Marriage Act 1961. For most of this year, the celebrant has also had the responsibility of managing COVID restrictions at the ceremony. I write every ceremony from scratch which takes quite a few hours. Then there are the meetings, stationery, insurance, decorations,rehearsal, PA system, postage and travel and this definitely all adds up. So you see, your Celebrant is worth her weight in gold, she/he is professional, articulate, well versed in anything wedding, well groomed and most of all lots of fun.
