23.01.2022 When we put out our expression for interest in starting a Saturday morning class we were flooded with interest. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case. We had to cancel last week due to lack of numbers and looking like we will be doing the same for this week. We need at least 10 people to run the class. So far we only have 4. 09.01.2022 Hi all, Terri’s swim school is going to take part in laps for life and we would love you to join our team! This cause raises money to go toward prevention of youth suicide. We are not asking for your money but we would love it if yourself or your child joined our team to help us work toward spreading awareness. It isn’t weak to speak and here at our swim school we strive to provide a safe space for children to learn.

08.01.2022 NDIS Just to clarify, it is not up to us how much NDIS covers of your swimming lessons. Some NDIS recipients receive full funding, others cover the gap fee. We are a provider for NDIS swimming lessons which we feel is an amazing opportunity for everyone who has a disability to benefit from one on one lessons in a quiet environment. We are still learning when it comes to how NDIS works just like all of you and anyone who’s been through NDIS knows it isn’t an easy process... to understand. 07.01.2022 Terri Swimming has always been in my life. I was first taught to swim by Marcel Ringuet at the 50 yard pool at the old Baths. For those who haven’t heard of it..., it used to be at Lady Nelson Park (where the fountain is next to the Yacht Club). That was before the Gladstone Aquatic Centre existed. I loved swimming as a child and trained at the Gladstone Amateur Club, my passion grew and this led me to teaching; first at the South Swimming Club before I opened my own swim school at home. We outgrew the backyard pool in 1999 and expanded to our commercial centre in town. I now spend most of my time teaching between Agnes Water and Gladstone, which keeps me pretty busy. When asked when I find time to relax, that’s easy it’s on the drive where I can listen to music and reflect. Is it really work when you love what you do? Plus I’m surrounded by an incredible team who feel like family. I never give up on a child, to see them grow from not wanting to put their face in the water to being able to swim laps is extremely rewarding. It’s also a pretty special feeling to see the kids I’ve taught over the years now bringing their kids for lessons. I was lucky to learn to swim at a young age and now I have the privilege to help other children learn such an important skill. Strong Communities Ltd .
