25.01.2022 My new single ‘Welcome to Australia’ off my latest Album A Fortunate Life debuted at #11 on the country charts last week and made it into the top #10 this week. Many thanks to all the radio presenters around Australia who are playing my song. It’s a comedy song about all the loveable animals that live here, but it’s all the spiders, snakes, crocodiles etc that stops so many folks from overseas from holidaying in our beautiful country.

22.01.2022 Final day fishing last Thursday at 80 Mile Beach and caught a 104 cm Threadfin Salmon. A good days work I reckon.

22.01.2022 G’day folks. Virginia and I hope everyone is well and safe. When they opened some internal borders here in WA we decided to book a little holiday down to Yallingup on our south coast for a few days with our family Graham and Coral. We came down on Monday when the biggest storm in 12 years hit our coast. An amazing sight to see the ocean down here driven by huge winds.

21.01.2022 Virginia and myself would like to wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy Easter. No grandkids Easter egg hunt this year. That’s a bit hard to take. Cheers

20.01.2022 Here is the acoustic video version of my latest single ‘Welcome to Australia’ which is currently number #3 on the Australian Country Music Charts. The video was filmed on the stunning coast near Broome WA.

18.01.2022 I’ll be doing a Bush poetry to Bush Ballad workshop as well as putting on a fun night of music, yarns and Bush dance on Saturday evening with our mate Keith (Cobber) Lethbridge on his accordion and harmonica. Hope you can make it to Toodyay

16.01.2022 DOWNUNDER COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL has been cancelled due to Covid 19 concerns. David and Therese have make the sensible decision not to go ahead this year in the interest of public health. A real pity as we love this festival and the good folks that we catch up with there. All the best and stay healthy.

16.01.2022 Arrived in Broome yesterday and we went to Cable beach to watch the sunset. Beautiful. Playing gig this evening with my old mate Ginger Cox at the Broome caravan park at 5pm. Maybe see you there.

15.01.2022 The dust settles on another terrific Nambung CM Muster and going through some photos and and reflecting on how lucky we are to have been able to hold a music festival here in WA. Well done to Brian and Gloria and volunteers and to all the artists that put on such a great show. Many thanks to Brendon T, Radio Mama, the ABC and all the other folks in the media for all your promotion of the Muster to help us achieve a sold out program. And to all you good folks that came along and made it a very enjoyable experience for us all, a huge thank you and we’ll see you next year.

14.01.2022 Western Australia’s top Bush Poets will be competing over three days. We hope to see you there.

13.01.2022 It will be a good catch up with all our country music mates and we have a new addition to the Nambung Country Band and that is Jim Morfitt on Bass. Good to have you on board Jim. Other members of the Band helping out will Be Warwick Trant - Guitar, Lucy Lemann - Bass, Tyson Lansdell - Bass and Drums and Merv Alymore - Drums.

11.01.2022 Did a day trip from Derby to Camballin then onto the Fitzroy River with Brian and Gloria, Fred and Bernie, and Tony and Sue. We had no idea that back in 1962 the government built a dam across the Fitzroy to divert water inland for a rice farming venture which failed very quickly. An early attempt at using the vast water resources in the Kimberley for irrigation. Had a great day out and the guitar came out for a few Bush songs as usual.

10.01.2022 Welcome to Australia (Official Version) This is my full band video version of ‘Welcome to Australia’ with some more stunning footage of our beautiful Kimberley region. The band features Ian Simpson on Banjo, Mark Donohoe on Upright Bass, John Bennetts on Drums and Chris Murphy on Backing Vocals.... It’s very pleasing that the song has been in the Charts for nine weeks now with six of those weeks spent in the top ten. A big thank you to all the radio folks that played the song and made it happen. Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/WP3IDHR7m80 #comedycountrysong

09.01.2022 Here is the program for the Nambung Country Music Muster folks. If you are able please support our generous sponsors. It’s going to be a great festival showcasing the talent we have here in our state. See you all there.

09.01.2022 Thanks Dale for making me a part of your tribute to your dad. You have done him proud old mate.

05.01.2022 Played a gig last night at Bullara Station with a little help from our mate Maggie the Kangaroo. Terrific place to do an Aussie concert under the stars. Thank you to Edwina and Tim for making myself and Virginia very welcome.

04.01.2022 Enjoying a cleansing ale on our first day in Carnarvon on our way up to the Kimberly. Played my first gig in about five months so good to be back in the saddle again and giving my new album ‘A Fortunate Life’ it’s first outing. Hope to catch up on the road somewhere. Cheers
