25.01.2022 Hi. Have a look at the top of this old type earth stake. Lightning hit this shed and found the earth stake where it was touching the shed at the top of the stake. Lightning burned through the shed sheeting. The shed also had fences in contact with it, and in multiple places the lightning ran along the fence starting fires in multiple places on this rural property. Luckily the owners arrived home just after the event. Such was the energy of the lightning it welded chain links ...together that were holding gates closed. But not one electrical appliance was affected, even if it was obvious lightning ran through the system at the shed and the electrically attached houses. 22.01.2022 Bet you all can tell this shed wiring is just not right. Hidden and woven into a vine coming in through a window I found this mess. Very lucky no one had cut back the vines inside as the live wiring would be the last thing you'd expect all woven in it. Plus its been there a long time luckily untouched. 21.01.2022 The owners of this home were very lucky they called me to check a problem they were having with their power. Now I’ve fixed the damage that I found they need to get rid of their rats immediately before they do it all over again. Do you know if you have this type of damage in your walls or ceilings? Do you hear the patter of little feet in your roof sometimes? You may not even hear them if you have insulation bats in your ceiling, but they will still leave their calling cards.... Rats have caused a lot of electrical fires over the years. They can also cause you some damage if you accidentally come in contact with their work. If you suspect you have rats or possums in your walls or ceiling there’s no time to waste getting rid of them. But never enter a ceiling space with any power left on at all. 18.01.2022 Id like you to look at the white cable I spotted in a customer’s roof, you'll see it passes under pressure between the tin roof and the roof batten. Very illegal and very dangerous, the heat of the iron in the sun softens the insulation and could bring the roof alive, also a screw could be put through the cable. Then everything in contact with the roof like a tv aerial or metal downpipe could also be alive. That is why cables are not allowed in this type of location. If you were to climb your aluminium ladder and touch the roof either the shock could kill you or the fall you had because of the shock. 12.01.2022 Have you tested your Safety Switches lately? I have come across a couple not functioning lately and this concerns me. A Safety Switch must trip when you press the test button if it does not you need to call me, their function is critical to your and your families safety. They should be tested every month.
