22.01.2022 Fantastic night for the light opening today in a huge milestone for the club. Good cricket and plenty of supporters down. Like daytime out in the middle! Great to see so many kids running around after their game and spending hours in the nets watching the big boy’s. Oh and not to mention the 1st grade side has gone to 4 from 4. Chris Wright BELTING 44 off 21, Jarrod Officer 52* off 41 and the big off season recruit Dom Taylor 33 off 30 to see us chase 152 3 down with 7 ball...s to spare. Thanks to Nambour cricket club for the great game of cricket and being part of the event. Night cricket on the coast is back! Let’s see more of it with the other clubs in future years.

14.01.2022 Tomorrow night the Club hosts Coolum in the final round of the T20 competition. It is a big game for both teams with Coolum looking to give themselves a shot at the Semi Finals for the T20 comp and the Thunder looking to tie up a top 2 finish.

12.01.2022 The club has been successful in receiving a grant of $19,794 for refurbishment of the kitchen at Read Park under the State Governments Active Restart Infrastructure Recovery funding. These funds will make a massive difference to the clubhouse and allow us to serve food which we currently are unable to do.

07.01.2022 Exciting announcement with our 1st grade side taking on the Sunshine Coast Scorchers the Laguna Realty T20 Challenge under lights as a warm up for the Scorchers T20 campaign. The Thunder side will have Noosa local Ben Laughlin and Club Coach Nathan Reardon. The Scorchers have been consistently one of the top sides in the format in Queensland Premier cricket so will no doubt put on a show. ... The Bar will be open and Wood Fired Pizza Van operating, Pizzas will be $14 for a Regular size and $10 for Small.

05.01.2022 Very exciting for the first official game under lights this Thursday with our 1st grade side taking on Nambour. Federal MP Llew O’Brien will be on hand to officially commission the lights. There will be a junior game on prior with the trophies handed out from last season. ... The date for the SPM Law Centurions game will be finalised this week which has been put back to mid October - teams of the decade will be announced at this game.

05.01.2022 2 wins out of 2 today for the 1st grade side to take us to 3-0 in a great start to the season. 7/185 v 2/184 against Caboolture this morning with Chris Wrights 73 off 34 as the standout along with Dom Taylor’s 1/14 off 4. We held on against some incredible batting from the Competitions premier player. 5/169 v 6/95 against Caloundra this afternoon. Alex Bennet 68 off 56 anchoring the innings with 4 other players chipping in with scores striking above 120. All the bowlers did... their job with 6/6 going at less than a run a ball. A couple of really good team performances and sets us up well for Nambour this Thursday night at 6 at Read Park.
