21.01.2022 SUMMER SPORT 2021 UPDATE // The summer season for 2020/21 is officially halfway completed, with Trinity being positioned well in all of their competitions. In the Basketball, our 1st V are currently sitting in outright 2nd spot, with a record of 4-1. They will come back refreshed after a summer break, looking to overcome a tough Knox outfit to edge closer to a premiership. On the other hand, our 2nd V are currently sitting at 1st on the table, with a perfect 5-0 record. In ...the cricket, we have had a mixed bag of results, however, some outstanding individual performances, highlighted by a century from captain Emmanuel Grogan in Round 1, will assist in powering into the next half of the season. In the Volleyball, our boys are flying again, currently sitting at the top of the table, with no loses to date. It is a credit to the depth of Mr Simos' program, and the leadership of captain Ben Powell. In the Water Polo, an unlucky 1 point loss to Knox in Round 3 has placed us in 2nd on the table, however, the boys will be sure to put them away come 2021. We have struggled in the Tennis this season, however, our young outfit is gaining some invaluable experience, which will be sure to assist them in the years to come. Well done to all that have competed in Round 1, rest up this summer, and come out firing next year so we can hopefully come out with some silverware! See more

18.01.2022 TRACK AND FIELD SEASON 2020 LAUNCH // For only the second time in the CAS Track and Field Championships History, the Andrew Reid Challenge Cup will not be contested for on Thursday September 14th at SOPAC. Although this is extremely disappointing for the members of our community, most notably our Year 12 Athletes who would have competed in the CAS arena for the final time for Trinity, Mr and Mrs Murphy have come up with an innovative concept to replace the normal competition ...to make it special for our Year 12s. This Saturday 5th September, will be a warm up competiton event run on the School Grounds, with some innovative new events as well as the usual program, which will prep our team for the TGS School Championships which will take place on Saturday 12th September. The School Championships will be a significant occasion with Age Champions up for grabs as well as School Placings in events. This season looks a lot different to how it usually would, with Trinity not able to contest for our anticipated 5th consecutive Championship win according to the calculations, but it is important to get around our athletes and this wonderful sport. Congratulations must also go to our Leadership Team for 2020, which comprises of Vice Captains Ethan Bateman (12WJ), Ethan Brouw (12Ta), and Finn Murphy (12Ta), as well as our fearless Captain, Jono Titmarsh (12Du). We wish our leaders all the very best in leading this squad in what is the most unique Track and Field Season the CAS has seen since 1940, when the competition was last suspended. Take a look at the fantastic 2020 launch video put together by Mr John Blois.
18.01.2022 FINAL SCORE // In a game where the scoreline does not dictate the close nature of the affair, another late try to Barker means the game ends 22-8 to Barker College
18.01.2022 AFL // Tough day at the office for the 1st XVIII AFL, no bench today due to a few injuries, but the match was played in great spirit, the men in green didn’t back down. As has been the case with all fixtures, both sides stood as one to acknowledge Trinity’s innagural Reconciliation Round.
17.01.2022 CONFIRMATION OF TRINITY’S 3RD CAS WINTER SEASON PREMIERSHIP // It is with great pleasure that we announce Trinity’s 3rd CAS Winter Season Premiership, with our Cross Country runners taking out two pieces of silverware, the Neil Logan CAS Cross Country Shield and the Michael Spratt Cup. Captain of Cross Country, Ethan Brouw provides us with a summary of the day and the success for Trinity. Ethan Brouw (12Ta) comments: Trinity retained the Neil Logan Shield for the 4th year in ...a row. This shield is won for the open event (8km). In the opens Trinity placed well, with Dylan Offord 1st, Ethan Brouw 2nd, Thomas Virgona 4th and Zac Brown 6th. We additionally retained the Michael Spratt cup for the 7th consecutive year, which constitutes the overall CAS cross country championships, thus winning the juniors, intermediates and opens. Trinity placed first in both juniors (4km) and inters (6km) with Luca Gillard and Theo Christian placing 1st respectively. All this would not have been possible without the help form Bradley Woods, who developed the cross country program, and Paul Raptis who was able to step in with coaching. Also our MIC Mr Spratt and other staff were integral to fostering a great environment and our success. Even though COVID restrictions did not allow a presentation, we were still able take a couple of photos which I will attach. Also it is noteworthy to mention that despite the day turning out glorious, the rain over Friday night made the course extremely muddy and wet, making every hill that bit harder, and turning a challenging course into what will be preserved in infamy as one of hardest days at Cross Country for years to come. Congratulations to our CAS Cross Country Championship winners, as well as our undefeated CAS Volleyball side, and undefeated CAS Tennis Premiership side!
17.01.2022 SUMMER SPORT 2021 // Tomorrow marks the beginning of the Summer Sport season for 2020/21, kicking off with our 1sts and 2nds Basketball squads heading over to face a strong Aloys outfit tomorrow night. The boys will be led by captain Tom Buvac, who although is out with injury, will look towards his senior players to get us over the line tomorrow night. The 1st XI cricketers, led by captain Emmanuel Grogan, will be looking to get off to a flyer against Aloys on Saturday, wit...h some fresh new talent ready to get into it. Yet again, Simos' Volleyballers, led by CIS representative Ben Powell, will be out for perfection again this season, and are making it hard for themselves to constantly improve year on year. Yet, Simos always finds a way. Along with this, Matt Robertson will be leading the 1st VII Water Polo team, whilst Max Ngyuen will be out to defend the pride of the 1st IV Tennis team. Also, Member of the 1st V Basketball team, Deonte Williams, has produced a short video in anticipation of the exciting basketball season ahead, make sure to give it a watch Good Luck to all players and teams representing the Green and White this season, go out there and do us proud!

02.01.2022 EDMED SIGNS WITH WARATAHS // Congratulations to old boy Tane Edmed ('18), who this week put pen to paper on a new 2 year deal which will see him join the NSW Waratahs squad from 2021. Since leaving Trinity, Tane has bounced between playing 7's and XV's, and was awarded the Dave Dennis Elite Youth Development Player of the Year award at the 2020 Waratahs Awards Night. Although he has achieved great feats since leaving Summer Hill, he will always be remembered for kicking a nea...r impossible 40m penalty goal after the bell to get the win, and break our long standing drought against Joeys. Today, Tane will be lining up at No. 10 for Eastwood in the Shute Shield Final against Gordon, which will be taking place at Leichhardt Oval. As they have done all season, Tane will line up next to another former Trinitarian in Pat Sio ('12), who will be packing the scrum at No. 8., whilst leading them out as captain. Good luck, and congratulations Tane ! https://www.smh.com.au//edmed-walking-in-father-s-footstep See more
