Great leadership requires strong emotional intelligence, and learning and applying that daily can be anything but soft. It takes resilience, determination and self management along with a whole box of skills and knowledge to be great at applying emotional intelligence. As a leader you are always being watched, observed, its just part of leading. What energy are you sharing? And as importantly, what are you saying to your team? 07.01.2022 Like many of us I have this feeling of helplessness watching the Australian fire crisis unfold. I have donated and have confidence that the people managing the distribution of those funds will do an amazingly fantastic job at getting funds and supplies to the right places / people. So what else? Lets make sure we are connecting with people and not isolating ourselves, and to that point, I say hug someone (who wants to be hugged!). We know hugging releases oxytocin, increasing happiness and reducing stress and blood pressure. So please, if youre comfortable, hug someone.
