25.01.2022 A special installation today, with a very local flavour for a Customer here in Port Macquarie. Our lighthouse is a major landmark, and I’m thrilled to have done this one...

24.01.2022 Delivering a couple of old door panels back to their owner today. While they each had quite a few broken pieces, they were in generally good condition for their age so I repaired them rather than going through a complete strip and restoration. I know many people are enjoying jigsaw puzzles right now, mine are a little more challenging to lift....

23.01.2022 For all your leadlight needs. New custom windows, repairs and restorations.

19.01.2022 Installed a couple of restored panels back into a Customers antique kitchen cabinet today, very happy with the result.

16.01.2022 Proud to be featured in the February Port Macquarie Focus Magazine!

13.01.2022 Finished a repair job this week from a home in Newcastle. The panel is one of a set, around 80 years old, and had a rough time recently. As you would expect some of the glass was hard to match, Fortunately I had a couple of matching bits in my old glass stash, the rest I got as close as possible but you’d have to really look at it to tell...

10.01.2022 Accidents happen.... I just fix the results...

09.01.2022 Another restoration for a Customer renovating his home. He bought these 3 panels to build in, they’re probably close to 80 years old and the lead was quite perished. Had a few broken pieces, and evidence of previous repair. Unusual in that the top centre circle is actually domed - very hard to replace if I broke one.... Should be good for the better part of another century now!

06.01.2022 If you’re still isolating and staring mournfully at that old leadlight that needs some care, or picturing a new one to brighten your home, I can help!

04.01.2022 Another restoration delivered to a Customer from Maitland. Originally from the home he’s restoring, its right for another 100 years or so now....

04.01.2022 A busy week in the workshop, finished repairing and reinstalled the two oval beveled panels in a Customers front doors, completed a minor restoration and tidy up for another Customers family heirloom built quite some time ago by a grandparent, and hung a third Customers existing family crest panel in her home. I have another three more complex restoration and repair jobs underway, including the last picture.... a relatively new panel with the worst case of lead degradation I’ve ever seen.... I’ve no idea what caused it, but the panels will have to be completely disassembled and rebuilt.

02.01.2022 Re-installed two fully restored panels in a Customers precious china cabinet today. The panels were not that old, but had suffered the worst case of lead decay I’ve ever seen... the lead on the inside had simply corroded away, requiring a full disassembly and rebuild. I still have no idea what could have caused it... I’ve worked on 150 year old windows where the lead was in better condition

01.01.2022 Something different this week, a Customers lampshade sustained some serious damage. Had problems matching the glass exactly but came out ok in the end...

01.01.2022 Installed some door panels for a Customer in Old Bar this morning, replaced the nasty old stick-on-pretend-leadlight panels. Much nicer I think...
