25.01.2022 Wax Jambu ripe on the plants and in the bucket. Nearly 30 kilos of fruit so, that will make about 50 kilos of my specialty Wax Jambu and Vanilla jam

23.01.2022 An old picture for those of you, who like looking at freshly pulled GIANT garlic in a wheelbarrow

23.01.2022 New 5000 gallon tank plumbed in place to collect our spring water. Water security in a drying world.

20.01.2022 Lots of flowers on the dragon fruit but, will we get fruit in this dry weather?

20.01.2022 27kg bunch of Red Dacca bananas. Off to Bellingen Farmers Market they go!

18.01.2022 26k bunch of beautiful Red Dacca bananas off to Kombu Wholefoods Bellingen.

18.01.2022 Same Haas avocado tree as in 10th April post but now the fruit is almost ready for harvest. Had a few to try and they are greaaaaat

16.01.2022 See you all at the Inaugural Bellingen Farmers Food Hub market. 29th May at the Bellingen Showground. Lots of fresh food available from 2:30 to 6 pm.

14.01.2022 Here is a Haas avocado 2 years into restoration. Has about 150 avocados coming on this year

13.01.2022 Red Dacca bananas at Bellingen Growers and Farmers Market. A real favorite.

13.01.2022 Giant Lau Lau flowers and baby fruits. First batch of fruit on a 7 year old treewhich is 5 metres tall and has 40cm long leaves; GIANT LAU LAU! From the pacific islands and Papua New Guinea

13.01.2022 First bunch of Wax Jambu for the year. Amazing how resilient these young tree’s are given the lack of rain. A member of the Lilly Pilly family from Malaysia produces a crisp fruit with a unique flavour. I use these to make a beautiful Wax Jambu and Vanilla jam but, are nice to eat fresh as well, especially in a fruit salad.

12.01.2022 The Banana Shed is pleased to contribute to this sustainable growers market.

08.01.2022 A section of the orchard mowed and mulched. Some older avocado trees with younger white sapote, star gooseberry, lychee and ambarella trees among others. This patch was infested with large woody weeds 5 years ago.

08.01.2022 Since the rains started the avocados have stopped dropping fruit and are starting to fatten up. Might have some Fuerte variety ready for market in March.

07.01.2022 What a beautiful pair of Zutano avocados. Less oily than the market leaders but they make a great graft stock for better known Fuerte or Haas varieties

06.01.2022 5 years ago today. A super duper passion fruit

04.01.2022 Pics of the spring base. Old original concrete tank and new big brother tank 22700ltrs or 23 tonnes! Glad it’s not on my foot

02.01.2022 Just another day juicing and saucing

02.01.2022 Spent some time since the rain revegatating at the top of the block. These native trees and bushes will create a good windbreak and provide habitat for more birds and animals. To be continued. Still need a 1000 trees and plants for a rainforest gully reveg at the bottom of this hill.

01.01.2022 Just in case you like looking at pawpaw trees

01.01.2022 Red Dacca bunches starting to bulk up now after waiting patiently for the recent 125mm (5) of rain. Yum to come
