22.01.2022 This is really a Very Good Article, which talks about some of the reasons why stretching isnt the only answer when we have flexibility issues. If any of you have wondered why Im such a fan of "neural mobility" work, its related to the same ideas (although she doesnt refer to it specifically here). But shes right, the nervous system runs the show, and how we move throughout the day is more important than what we do for the hour or so while were "exercising". Check it out, and Im happy to answer any questions.

10.01.2022 And this is why I love working with Ultra Marathoners. Theyre all barking mad, and gorgeous, and just a bit transcendent. After running one of his worst races ever, this guy says "I think how beautiful it is to run from a state of gratitude and happiness." He was sick, really sick, during the run. Maybe because he ran out of water and was drinking from streams just to keep going. But he says "The fact that I choose to do this I dont know whether that makes it harder or easier to suffer, but it makes it funnier. I laughed after I barfed every time."
