11.01.2022 Interesting noises coming from the garden tonight.... flying foxes are feasting on the crab apples, at least I hope thats what it is

10.01.2022 Finally a beautiful day.... perfect day to start tidying the garden! Leaving the frost damaged plants a little longer, but there is promising signs of spring

10.01.2022 Good old belladonna lilies, with verbena, favorite colours in the garden, pink and purple!

10.01.2022 Yay some much needed rain finally....lets hope it lasts!! Managed to pick this lot, getting thoroughly wet in the process, and its off the one tree! So far kept the family well supplied in apples this summer, and I still have 3 more trees to harvest!!

09.01.2022 I missed the start of spring, but never mind there's still colour to enjoy

08.01.2022 Thank you Mother nature, even though its blowing a gale and intermittent showers...managed a day in the garden, not bad for the middle of Summer!! Dead headed some of the roses and weeded (they still grow) and planted a few hundred Nerines!! Should be a lovely display eventually!!

08.01.2022 After a temperature of 45 degrees plus on Friday.... some lilies survived, the others were cooked along with a lot of other plants, sadly!

08.01.2022 3 of my favorite flowers, dont mind the stamens, love the perfume!

07.01.2022 Its funny how certain flavours stick in your mind...on a visit to Edna Wallings gardens at Bickleigh vale, a few years ago, I tried Damson plum sauce. I was so impressed with it, I purchased a tree! Yesterday I picked 4.5 kgs of plums and made the sauce! Not a bad haul for a two year old tree! Also made up a batch of Mingleberry jam. First tried this when in Tassie last year, a combination of raspberry, blackberry and a little strawberry! Raspberries were picked from the garden and frozen until I had sufficient! Ive also included my pink tiger lily, finally out in flower...very slow this year!

07.01.2022 Done pic of the garden 12 months ago
