25.01.2022 With just one month of trading under our belt prior to our Covid-19 closure, we have still felt the impact of this uncertain time. We would like to send out the biggest of Thank Yous to each and every person that has read, liked, shared or commented on our socials. Phoned our office or sent us an email to check in on us. Once again we have been completely overwhelmed by your support. Of course we can not wait to see your smiling faces but please remember we will now ha...ve some extra guidelines to follow. 24.01.2022 Re-opening news With more COVID-19 restrictions being lifted from Monday 1 June 2020, we are very excited to announced that we will be re-opening our doors on Monday! To keep our staff and customers safe we will be enforcing social distancing rules and also maintaining our increased sanitation procedures. 23.01.2022 Small Sporty Coupe The Karmann Ghia Type 14 was produced in Germany for over 19 years. The assembly of each vehicle was very labour intensive as majority of the car was assembled by hand, consisting of many panels with external body joints being welded, smoothed and then lead filled to produce seamless joins. This automotive gem was considered the rich mans Volkswagen.

17.01.2022 Welcome to The Depot family This EH Holden panel van originally belonged to the McKenzie family from Wangaratta. The van made frequent trips to Melbourne to collect supplies for the local Grocer and then make deliveries to local residents. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful piece become part of our collection.

15.01.2022 Neon colours and textured carpets The use of colours went to a whole new level in the 1960s, with vibrant explosions of green, gold, orange and yellow splashed as far as the eye could see. These popular colours could be seen on everything and anything, from clothes to home dcor to vehicles! Home life through the 1960s was very family orientated. 14.01.2022 Beautifully restored and revived Originally released as four wheel versions, then modified to be three wheel vehicles with the reverse gear removed, allowing them to then be registered as a trike therefore fit into a much lower tax bracket. This particular Isetta we have on display here at The Depot, has had some love and attention over the years. Currently on display in our Reception area, many children over the recent School holidays commented about the likeness to the Transformer Bumble Bee

From head turning American vehicles, Elvis and Marilyn displays, Route 66 paraphernalia to James Deans tragic but fascinating story surrounding his life and death at such a young age. Our touch of Hollywood at The Depot will bring out the sparkle in you!

10.01.2022 Meet Rosie Built in 1948, this Bedford OB CAC is one of the most significant vehicles in the collection. Rosie joined the Purtill family from the Rose family in 1974. Rosie experienced semi-retirement on the reserve school bus list until just into the new century, after which time she received some attention to bring her back to original working condition. ... When she entered The Depot collection in 2020, Rosie was recognised as the oldest continually-registered school bus in Australia. Rosie is located in shed one here at The Depot, she provides a great photo opportunity with an old style bus shelter in the background. See more

09.01.2022 Powerful and adaptable The American LaFrance Fire Engine Company was established in 1903. This particular truck was produced in 1983, it is a high powered fire truck but has an easy of maneuverability. Its impressive stature makes it a clear favourite with the kids (and adults)

Also known as a keen race driver, Dean was killed a just age 24 when travelling in his 550 Spyder to a racing competition. This particular vehicle on display at The Depot is a hand built replica of the original Porsche vehicle. With the fibreglass body finished in classic Porsche silver. These vehicles were designed for use in auto racing which Porsche had much success in.
