25.01.2022 At The Dress Up Place we are always looking for unpaid Volunteer workers. We need customer service staff, sewing staff, IT, electricians, data base entry, wig repairers. Current staff is 100% volunteer based and 60% are disabled. At the moment we are only open Thur and Fri 11 - 4.30 and Sat 10 - 3pm. If we can secure some more staff then we can look at opening more days. If you cant do those hours then we can be flexible with working hours to take up whatever skills you can offer us. 20.01.2022 Not only do we have an abundance of costumes covering all the decades BUT we also have a great range of costumes for different Nationalities. These are a great look for celebrations like St Davids Day for our Welsh friends, St Patricks Day for all our Irish mates and also for any of our Scottish pals heading off to the Geelong Highland Gathering we have plenty of kilts available for you.

18.01.2022 We love celebrating our Volunteers Birthdays with yummy cake. Latest was a milestone 30th for Miss L who wore her Birthday Girl Badge with pride all day.

16.01.2022 Harmony Week is underway and Lauren has put a great effort in to make our gorgeous mannequins as Orange as possible.

16.01.2022 The Dress Up Place is reopening to the public as of Thursday 25th June, and we cant wait to welcome you back through our doors! In line with guidelines from the Victorian Government and Chief Health Officer, were putting several measures in place to support your health and safety. For example, were limiting capacity within our enclosed spaces and increasing cleaning throughout the day. We are all very excited and are looking forward to seeing you.

12.01.2022 Today our thoughts and prayers are with President of The Dress Up Place, Julie and her husband Robert as they say a final goodbye to their beloved son David. 10.01.2022 8th August is a very special day for The Dress Up Place. On 8th Aug 2008 our doors opened to provide our unique service and we have continued to grow each year. 2020 has not been a kind year so far but with tremendous support from our band of Volunteers and our Fabulous Customers we have been able to celebrate our 12th Birthday and so proud to do so. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over these years and we look forward to continuing for many more. #thedressupplace

While we don't normally open for costume hires on a Sunday if you can get here before 3pm today we can help out with hires as well. Lots of bargains still available. 04.01.2022 Firstly, thank you so much to all the wonderful people who have contacted us to place orders for Face Masks. The response has been overwhelming and our volunteer sewers are working very hard to get the orders completed as soon as possible. Secondly, attached are photos of 2 masks we are making. The colours and designs will be varied so please only request solid or random patterns. They are all 3 layer with a nose wire and are $10 each Based on the latest release from Victorian Health we are no longer taking orders for Children or Toddler Masks. Adult masks for Males and Females will be the only size made for any new orders. Thank you again for you response and thank you for your patience as our sewers work to get your orders completed.

03.01.2022 Due to the current Government restrictions we are sad to advise that The Dress Up Place will not be able to open our doors for trade as we are not classed as an essential service. During the shut down period, and maintaining all government restrictions, we will be on site at irregular times to do maintenance and clean ups with limited volunteers.
