25.01.2022 Supporting our Community Members over the age of 65 years admitted to Norwest Private Hospital by waiving the ED Access Fee for a period of 3 months from 6th Ju...ly to 30th September. Norwest Private Hospital, as part of its ongoing local community care initiative is waiving the Emergency Department access fee for community members, over the age of 65 years old admitted to Norwest Private Hospital who are covered by private health insurance for a period of 3 months (July to September). The intention of this support initiative over the winter period is to reduce some of the financial stress to the most vulnerable members of our community at a time of extreme stress and uncertainty who need access to healthcare. This will enable our vulnerable patients to have access to high-quality specialist geriatric medical, surgical and other medical specialist care provided at Norwest Private Hospital.

21.01.2022 Dear Team at The Hills Private Hospital 2020 is the Year of the Nurse and Midwife, though unfortunately this recognition has been largely overlooked due to our efforts to respond to the global pandemic that is COVID-19. However, our response demonstrates the selfless commitment to others by nurses on the frontline and everyday caring for the needs of others. Today, I’d like to pay tribute to the profession of nursing. It takes a special person to care for another. And for n...urses, they devote their working life to such a generous task. Thank you for all your hard work, dedication and commitment. It gives me great pleasure to wish each and every one of you at The Hills a happy International Nurses’ Day. We work together to provide a superior standard of care for our patients and their families. However, our nurses do not work on their own. It’s not possible to provide such care without the professional support and assistance of the medical staff, allied health staff, hotel services staff, admin and maintenance staff. I’m grateful and proud to lead this workforce and wish you and your family continued good health and safety. Florence Nightingale worked under trying conditions during the Crimean War and we are fighting our own brand of warfare right now. Let’s work together, respect each other, look after each other and stay safe. My very best wishes to you all Annette Czerkesow General Manager

16.01.2022 Next time you are at The Hills Private Hospital, we recommend you take the time to reflect on the artwork titled ‘Coming Together’ that was developed by Stan Yarramunua, a Wathaurong man. The painting depicts elements of people coming together, a fundamental platform of Healthscope’s reconciliation journey. Healthscope acknowledges the Traditional Owners as the custodians of this land recognising their connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to Australia...'s First Peoples and their Elders, past, present and future. 14.01.2022 How different ANZAC Day will look at The Hills Private Hospital this year. In partnership with the Castle Hill RSL, we traditionally hold a full service attended by up to 70 patients and staff, followed by refreshments. In light of COVID 19, our tribute may be smaller, but our commitment to honour our servicemen and women past and present will be no less fervent. From a display in the foyer to rosemary and poppies on breakfast trays for the patients, we will remember them. Lest we forget

09.01.2022 Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week, with this year’s theme In This Together resonating more than ever in today’s crisis. As a nation, we’ve shown we can come together to overcome an enormous challenge, and similarly, Australians are all In This Together when it comes to reconciliation and strengthening relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
