21.01.2022 INTRODUCING IYENGAR YOGA TO OUR SCHEDULE IN APRIL Iyengar Yoga is a form of yoga as exercise with a focus on the structural alignment of the physical body through the practice of asanas. It differs from other styles of yoga in three ways: Precision: is sought in body alignment in every asana. Timed sequences: carefully planned and timed sequences. Props: often, props, such as blocks and belts are used to ensure students can practice the sequence and the postures with correc...t alignment and safely develop their yoga practice over time. Simon Marrocco Director and founder of St.Kilda Iyengar Yoga School SKYS since 1989, and in 2006 opened SKYS retreat in the Tweed Valley, Nth. NSW. As a teacher trainer Simon has trained many teachers throughout Australia. He has taught in most countries around the world.
