24.01.2022 Francesco and Tony have decided to follow our Industry association RCA reccomandations as part of our social responsibility. Sunday Wine Dinner with Sapling Yard has been cancelled. We are reducing the number of tables in the dining room ( 60 cms. apart) Implementing stricter cleaning processes .... Encouraging frequent and thorough handwashing from all staff. Staff encouraged to stay home if not well. Now working on a Take away Menu, with Home delivery. A big Thank you to all our customers, Your patronage, loyalty and encouragement is our adrenalin!! 23.01.2022 Il mio amore, Valpolicella. A style dear to our hearts. Hailing from Verona in the north, Amarone wines are a process in patience. Grapes are picked late, then dried from the cool breeze of Lake Garda for 3-4 months. After being pressed in whole bunches for 3 weeks, it waits for 2 years in the barrel, gaining its harmonious charm of rich spice and ripe berries. One more year in the bottle and it's ready for the love it deserves. #theitalianplace

Following the announcement from the Government yesterday, The Italian Place has decided to reopen the restaurant. We will be adhering to the strict regulations, in place to protect both staff and patrons safety. Following are the measures we are taking:... 10 people per sitting Lunch will have 2 sittings: 12:00pm - 1:30pm, then 1:30pm onwards Dinner will have 2 sittings: 6:00pm - 8:00pm, then 8:00pm onwards We must record your full name and number as a precaution You are encouraged to have the CovidSafe app If anyone is feeling unwell, please stay home Bookings are essential Bookings are on a first-in best-dressed basis, we ask for all cancelations to be 24 hours prior to your booking. Sitting times are set and non-flexible. It allows us to comply with social distancing and occupancy requirements and enables the deli and takeaway services to stay active. 19.01.2022 ALTER ALEA BY @andrea_occhipinti_76 is a white wine made using a red grape variety grow on the slopes surrendering Lake Bolsena, Gradoli-Lazio. Only 2.500 bottles p/year. The vines are farmed organically and harvest is manual with particularly low yields. The grapes for the Alter Alea Aleatico are destemmed into stainless vat and cement and pressed without maceration (because it is a red grape). Ambient ferment proceeds with indigenous yeasts and the wine is matured in tank undergoing a natural malo with a light filtration and a little SO2 added just before bottling. The nose has floral notes accented by lychee and spice. On the palate there is melon, apricot and citrus. The finish is bright, minerally and dry.

16.01.2022 Buongiorno from The Italian Place, We regret to inform you that due to the government announcement we are ceasing to have diners eat in our venue. However, we will stay open as a Deli Plus from 10am - 8pm everyday.... Deli Plus will be offering dairy products, eggs, coffee grounds and beans, small selection of fresh meat, fruits, vegetables, a range of soft drinks, juices, our fresh pasta and sauces. As well as our selection of Italian confectionary, cakes and Colombe (Easter doves). Furthermore, we will be stocking up on a range of imported Italian dried goods, pasta, tomatoes, plus our panini and focaccia will be made to order. We will still be operating our delivery and pick up takeaways (4pm - 8pm) with a range of prepared meals to make dinner easy and effortless. Preorders for larger pickups e.g trays of lasagne, fresh pasta and tiramisu will also be available. Takeaway and delivery orders will commence from 4:00pm to 8:00pm daily. On another note, today is our first year anniversary, wed like to thank all of our patrons for supporting us over our first year of trading. What a year it was!
