25.01.2022 One of my latest projects. I always enjoy working with customers to create one of a kind pieces.

25.01.2022 Because I am a manufacturing jeweller I have a distinct advantage over most other jewellery stores. When I purchase jewellery I not only look at the beauty of the piece but also the construction. I'm able to look at things like the structural strength and the quality of the setting. One of the disappointing trends in the industry is to try and reduce the weight of a piece as much as possible in order to reduce the price. As a result I spend a lot of my time replacing missing stones and repairing bent and broken jewellery. Do you want piece of mind when buying jewellery?

23.01.2022 I like to support other local artists. In the studio you will find gemstones that have been cut and polished by local lapidarist Barry Pearson. You might find jewellery produced by local lampwork artist Jodie Moes. I currently have a couple of award winning Objet d'art by a local carver and scrimshaw artist. My collection of pieces from local artists is very small at the moment but will continue to grow. Whether you need your repairs done the same day or choose to leave your precious jewellery with us, the greatest care is always taken with the highest quality workmanship. 16.01.2022 A lot of my time is spent replacing lost gemstones from rings. The loss of a stone, especially the diamond from an engagement ring can be very upsetting but is so easily avoided. Please get your jewellery checked every 6 months. IT'S FREE, takes only a few minutes and can help to identify issues before they become huge problems.

14.01.2022 A few diamonds in... a whole lot more to go

14.01.2022 The Jewellery Studio doesn't look like a jewellery store because it just simply isn't. It's a get down and dirty workshop/studio. It's not pretty but it's not meant to be. When you spend your money at The Jewellery Studio you're not helping to pay for huge rents or for the wages of half a dozen sales people. Your money isn't helping to pay for expensive advertising campaigns or buying trips and you're not helping to maintain a head office or a warehouse. However quality does come at a price. I only use the finest materials from the best sources and of course my very own time, love, dedication and expertise.

11.01.2022 A husband who was unhappy with his wife's mood swings bought her a mood ring so he would be able to monitor her moods. They discovered that when she was in a good mood, it turned green but when she was in a bad mood, it left a big red mark on his forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy her a diamond.

10.01.2022 Here is another piece I am working on at the moment which I thought people may be interested in following. The customer has a large white boulder opal and would like a double sided pendant made for it. This was the original concept sketch. Let me know what you think.

09.01.2022 Another of the many jobs I have at the moment. I am terrible at updating my facebook. This young gentleman was very specific about the design he wanted and has supplied the centre diamond. It will ultimately be made in platinum.

07.01.2022 How often do you have your precious jewellery inspected? Every year? Every few years? Never! So much of my time is spent replacing missing gemstones. It can be very distressing for the owner of the jewellery. Especially if it is their centre stone or diamond that has been lost. To prevent tragic losses like this you should have your jewellery inspected every 6 months. The inspection is FREE and can save you a lot of money and heartache. 03.01.2022 Diamonds are forever! Right? Well not necessarily, but they can be if cared for correctly. Diamonds are very hard so most people are surprised to hear that they are easily broken, chipped and scratched. 01.01.2022 A lady was in a jewellery store looking at all the expensive jewellery. Forgetting herself she accidentally passed wind. She quickly turned around to see if anyone heard and was horrified to see a sales person approaching. "Can I help you?" The sales person inquired. Slightly anxious the woman said: "Actually, how much is this ring here?" "Madam", the salesperson replied, "If the sight of it made you pass wind you will poop when you hear the price."
