25.01.2022 Cardboard boxes inspire creativity and imagination as the children build upon, transform and reinvent them. ~ Today a person from the community was kind enough to donate this box. The children were so excited, they jumped right in and started using their imaginations and turned the box into "a train, house, bed, bus" and their favourite "a car". The children worked together to decorate the box with paint, glitter and paper doilies. #imagination #creativity #teamwork #cardboardbox #car #roleplay #bigsmiles #thesimplethings #fun #community

06.01.2022 Recently there has been construction work on the footpath across the road from The Kinder Garden. The children in the preschool room were excited to see the machinery in action and watch the workers with their various tools - so much so that they spent lots of time throughout the day watching! The educators in the Kangaroo room then provided the children with the opportunity to extend on this interest through the use of literature, digital media, arts and crafts and group time experiences. The preschool children and educators turned this small interest into almost 2 entire weeks of learning and focus topics - they covered one of their large display windows from top to bottom in artworks and fact posters that they created together.
