22.01.2022 8 seconds... The cutest little Cowboy you will ever see! & check out the joy on James' face! It seems the Morisset Show has once again been dealt the hardest ...of weather conditions.. a couple of years ago it was 42 degrees on the show day, & this year its torrential rain that is forcing events to be cancelled. The volunteers work tirelessly for 9 months to bring this even together for the community, & I hate seeing all of their hard work get washed out like this! Please still come along over the weekend & show your support for this event! See more

15.01.2022 With the 2020 Sydney Royal Easter Show being cancelled due to COVID-19, unfortunately that also means the cancellation of the 2020 Showgirl State Final! Thanks to the hard work of the ASC and RAS, the 2020 Sydney Royal Showgirl State Finalists, and Rural Achievers will be heading to the 2021 show instead, where they will fulfil their obligations as state finalists and experience all that the Showgirl Competition has to offer. Due to this new arrangement there will be no Zone finals in 2021. We cannot wait to follow Jamie Hawkins throughout the year and on to the 2022 Zone 5 Final.

12.01.2022 OFFICIAL UPDATE: Due to increased public concern, to protect the health of stakeholders and visitors, and in response to the Prime Minister and COAG’s directio...n that any organised mass gathering over 500 people should be cancelled, the 2020 Sydney Royal Easter Show is cancelled. It is distressing and disappointing to cancel the Show for 2020. There are many people who will be very upset by this decision, and this is the first time the Sydney Royal Easter Show has been cancelled because of a public health emergency since the Spanish Flu pandemic in 1919. The safety and well-being of our patrons and visitors is paramount and out of precaution, and in consultation with NSW Health, The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW has decided this is the best course of action. We appreciate that the cancellation of the Show is a huge disappointment for our Show community, particularly exhibitors and visitors from rural and regional NSW who love attending the Show to catch up with friends and celebrate with us every year. We are implementing a number of measures to deal with ticket and entry fee refunds and will be in contact with ticket holders and exhibitors regarding this process within the next five working days. 08.01.2022 It is with regret that we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s rodeo due to the weather forecast for this afternoon and evening. This decision has not been made lightly as we are unable to run the rodeo at a later date. Equestrian ring events are still going ahead this morning. ... Due to the cancellation of the rodeo - entry to the show will now be FREE. Those who have already purchased tickets - REFUNDS will be given. We will need time next week to communicate with 123tix & organise this. 02.01.2022 The family of Australian fashion, modelling and deportment icon June Dally-Watkins today is mourning the loss of their loving, inspirational and treasured mothe...r, grandmother and great-grandmother. June Dally-Watkins died peacefully Saturday night with her family by her side. 92-year-old June Dally-Watkins was born in 1927 at Watsons Creek near Tamworth. She was Australia’s first super model. In 1950 she established the June Dally-Watkins School, which trained scores of Australian women in deportment and etiquette. She later established Australia's first modelling agency and a business college. In 1993 she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to business. In 2014, she was named one of the 100 Australian Legends People Who Have Shaped a Nation. She is also an Australian National Treasure. More recently Miss Dally had been teaching etiquette to millions of students across China, with great success. June Dally-Watkins is survived by four children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.
