20.01.2022 Joel Creasey LIVE!: You know, I have always been a massive supporter and admirer of our dear fellow Brightonian buddy David Brooks (better known to us ...all as justBrooksy), especially when its anything relevant to his inspiring entrepreneurial initiatives which celebrate the awesome potential of the many outstanding local comic talents with his simply spectacularly fabulous Brookseys Comedy Roadshow. Having attended so many wonderful legendary comedy Roadshows, we have previously been treated to the likes of local legends Richard Stubbs, Eliot Goblet and Kitty Flanagan. But just a couple of weeks ago on November 9, it was the turn of Network Tens regular from The Project, Joel Creasey, who along with a strong support lineup of local aspiring comedians (fearlessly competing in Brookseys own original creation of Baysides got Talent), kept a packed Royal Brighton Yacht Club absolutely entertained throughout the entire evening. Now, I feel that I have to confess that while I feared that Joels style of comedy would prove too much of an overload of fabulousness and flamboyancy for me( and my support worker Kevin) to handle, I am proud to humbly confess that this misguided preconceived conception would have grossly misjudged and undervalued a genuinely quick witted dynamic charming performer, who left me humbly impressed, entertained and flattered to meet and chat with afterwards. In other words I was completely and thoroughly corrected. Id like to mention that thanks to my support worker Kevin Ian Ocio, this was the first time in 8 years that I was comfortable enough to go out for the evening without Kate by my side. So this was a real milestone for me. Well done Joel mate, and kudos, congrats & Mazal Tov to you too Brooksy for yet another magnificent triumph of an event! Im really looking forward to your next few roadshows where youve already leaked/announced your intentions to feature upcoming appearances from several of my other comic faves such as gold Logie winner Tom Gleeson and Dave ONeill!... Yay to all things Brooksey and RBYC for always Keeping it real.! See more
