23.01.2022 Children are effective communicators- this experience draws the children’s attention to symbols and patterns in their environment. Providing children with access to a wide range of everyday materials which they used to sort and create patterns, categorise, order and compare.

21.01.2022 Leading on from our salt dough creations last week today we were so excited to paint some of them. We took so much care when painting them, they are certainly looking great.

19.01.2022 Children have a strong sense of identity- children learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect. Organising learning environments in ways that promote small group interactions and play experiences. Our alphabet scoop went from scooping out different letters to finding the letters in our names.

17.01.2022 Children are connected with and contribute to their world- children become socially responsible and show respect for the environment. Today’s play dough experience gave the children access to a range of natural materials to use with the play dough. This was hilarious- after talking about having some flowers and mint from our garden that we could use in our play dough the children picked up the mint and smelt it , one said can I eat it absolutely I said the other tried as well = no mint for the play dough as they ate it all. Our furry friend curls up under the table while we play, he is always happy to be close.

16.01.2022 Children are connected with and contribute to their world. Today one of our families introduced us to a new game, a game which reflects their culture. The Hanukkah Dreidel game certainly was fun. Experiences like this broaden children’s perspectives and encourages appreciation of diversity, it allows children to be exposed to different languages and dialects while encouraging appreciation of linguistic diversity.

15.01.2022 We are Family !! Continuing on from our interest in our families we have started to make our own family tree- watch this space they are going to look amazing.

15.01.2022 We started our day a Reindeer cookie kind of way. Take a look at the awesome experience the children had today . can we make them again tomorrow Miss Jay was one of the comments I got of course we can .

15.01.2022 After creating some beautiful patterns with rocks, flowers and seeds we spotted some ants ! Quickly we got the magnifying glasses to take a bigger look. Big ants and small ants how fascinating. Take a look.

13.01.2022 We extended on with our colour mixing interest today, mixing colour with shaving cream and then on plates - transferred the colour patterns onto paper which was then transformed into butterflies. Take a look at how clever we are.

13.01.2022 Ta Da!!! Our Mistle Toes are finished and they look amazing. A beautiful keepsake as those little feet only get bigger.

11.01.2022 First Day for two New friends and we were super busy! So many new and interesting things to explore. Things look so much better with a magnifying glass, they were given another good work out today. Our home corner had lots of love today from chopping our wooden fruit and veg to cooking up a storm with our pots and pans. Our much loved barn and wooden farm animals were also a big hit as was our picnic basket full of duplo. We hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did.
