25.01.2022 COVID-19 Update To all of our wonderful patients, We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank you for the trust you place in us by allowing us to be part of your healthcare team. 24.01.2022 Its Christmas time!! The tree is up, the kids are struggling to contain their excitement, the cage fighting workouts are paying off at the shops, and youre wondering who to ask to do a duet with you of Air Supplys "All out of love" at the work Xmas party Karaoke, which brings you back to last December and the sounds of David Hasselhoffs Christmas album at our clinic. This year we will be open until Friday 23rd of December and return on Monday 9th of January. Our remaining appointments are booking up fast so if you are planning on coming in before the end of 2016, please call the clinic on 9893 7494. And yes, Stuart is still playing his mix of Christmas "music" but is happy to take requests - The Hoff, The Beach Boys, The Killers, Phil Spector, Bony M, Twisted Sister, Rod Stewart, Dean Martin...

23.01.2022 Our last day for the year will be Monday 22nd (opening again on January 5th) and bookings are filling up fast. Unlike a certain someone, we dont have a team of elves to help out (we did try it one year, but Stuart feels intimidated by people taller than him). So if youre planning on a "friendly" game of backyard cricket with the family, showing the kids how to do a proper bomb into the pool, spending hours preparing enough food for small country, recovering from those "phat" breakdance moves from the work Xmas party, or just want to finally get those aches and pains out of your system so you can enjoy the break with your loved ones, now might be the time to call.

20.01.2022 Phone line is back!

19.01.2022 Were back for 2020 from this morning! Come in and get treated while Stuart complains about changing chain saw chains at the same time as bragging about dropping trees with a hand saw like they did in the old days kids (the changing of chains didnt go so well), and his surprising (beginners luck) ability at backing up a trailer. Izabela might mention a never ending pile of leaves...

18.01.2022 Hello again everybody, The health authorities advice has not changed for allied health services, so we hope to continue providing you with osteopathic treatment at The Osteopathy Clinic in Parramatta this week. One of the main reasons we are staying open is to decrease the load on local GP clinics by taking on musculoskeletal pain patients. We feel we are in a good position to provide this care to you in the current environment as our clinic is small, treatments are one on o...ne, and relatively short (inside 30mins, while initial appointments will be tailored to limit face to face time to 30mins as well). Giving you an option to avoid larger GP centres for musculoskeletal pain is important. We ask again, if you are showing any sign of being unwell, have cold or flu symptoms or a fever please contact us to cancel and stay at home. For your peace of mind please know: We are continuing with increased infection precautions. We will be staggering and spacing patients to limit other people you may get in contact with during your visit at the Parramatta clinic. The majority of businesses in our building have significantly reduced staff and visitors, making it possible to be in the elevator on your own when you travel to level 3. We are in the process of opening an extra temporary clinic (as well as continuing to see patients in Parramatta) in a stand-alone studio at our home in Springwood, Blue Mountains. It is a 3 acre property, with parking onsite. As such the chances of you coming in contact with anyone other than Stuart or Izabela will be significantly minimised. We are hoping to open Tuesday and Wednesday availabilities as soon as we each receive a Medicare provider number for that specific address. The appointments will be spaced 1 hour apart to ensure minimal social contact with others, and allow us ample disinfection time. Once again if you have any questions regarding your individual circumstances, please contact us directly on 9893 7494 or via email [email protected] Stu and Bel

18.01.2022 8km into the 50km race, go Stu!!

16.01.2022 "Get up! Stand Up! Get up..." - Bob Marley. Not many people know that Bob Marley was a nut for correct workplace ergonomics and habits. True story, I read it on the internet. Being located in Parramattas business district we see a lot of problems caused by sitting for prolonged periods. Heres a nice and short explanation why. Great vest.

15.01.2022 Hi all, Izabela and Stuart are taking the rest of the week off for a well earned break!! Well be back on Tuesday 12/6.

13.01.2022 Holidays!!!! Were off to the snow with the kids. Have a great weekend everyone, and we (kind of) look forward to seeing you again from Thursday 10th July :) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QWbcQyePchA

13.01.2022 Hi all, having some phone problems today. If youd like to contact us please email on [email protected]

13.01.2022 Hey Everyone, A quick check in to let you know we are continuing on with osteo treatments under increased infection control precautions, as described in previous posts. The staggered appointment times are working well in ensuring social distancing between patients, and the building lifts are not being used often, so patients can ride to level 3 in their own elevator easily enough. If any of you are in strict lock down and in musculoskeletal pain, please feel free call or emai...l us, and we will do our best to help with your concerns. We can do this with ergonomic and posture advice, exercise prescription, or some tips on self treatment techniques until it is safe for you to come in for a hands on appointment again. This service will be free of charge to our existing patients until this health crisis ends. For any patients working from home and struggling with ergonomics, please also get in touch and we will try to help you remotely. Usually preventing musculoskeletal pain is easier than getting rid of it! A huge thank you to all of you who have reached out to support our small clinic over the last few weeks. So many of you have been in contact through emails and phone calls. We are humbled, and appreciate the moral support you have provided us with. We are passionate in supporting your health always, and regularly brag that our patient base is the best we could ever ask for, but we never expected for you all to be a pillar of emotional support for us. Thank you for being part of our community Stu and Bel

10.01.2022 Some great information in this article on the role your perception of your injury plays in the level of pain you experience. BUT... We just cant get past how different noises affect your pain levels. SO, in the interest of embracing new research, we will be investigating which music helps our patients the most. Stuart will be starting with some soothing classics from Chicago and Air Supply before moving on to Bertie Higgins, Rupert Holmes and REO Speedwagon. Izabela will be continuing her more traditional classical music mix for those of you who dont appreciate the "soft rock" genre...

09.01.2022 In case you missed this late last year whilst using your smart phone to buy last minute Xmas presents waiting in line for a coffee, at the bank, on a train... By the way, for the Facebook generation, a pound is equivalent to 0.453kg (60lbs is just over 27kg), a gallon is 3.785L and a league is 5.556km. I hope this helps to explain why your neck is so sore after your trip on the bus or train whilst trying not to talk to the person next to you. I also hope it helps when watching NFL, deciding when to buy petrol or planning an expedition under the sea. For those who can remember actually using pounds, well done for using Facebook. Well done.

07.01.2022 "Whether its walking to the mail box, doing a bit of gardening or running a marathon the report says keeping physically active and socially connected is critical at all life stages. Movement benefits everybody!"

07.01.2022 Its all systems go again at the clinic this week. We hope your break has left you refreshed and ready to take on a new year.

06.01.2022 Happy New Year to everyone!! Well be back in the clinic from Monday 8th January to sort out all your holiday injuries (like this random list that applies to no one in particular, and definitely not a certain osteopath) - Tennis elbow from turning the sausages on the BBQ too many times, wry neck from falling asleep on the lounge watching the cricket, back pain from showing off to the kids at aqua golf, or a minor tear of your gluteus maximus during a classic catches session in the pool gone wrong.

06.01.2022 Well, in the slightly modified words of one Tex Perkins- Oh it aint no fun no more I dont know what to say The holidays are over baby Its never gonna be that way again...... Thats right, were back from holidays as of Monday 7th January. If youve woken up with a stiff neck, on the lounge, after falling asleep due to the monotony of Pujaras run scoring and the Australian batsmen failing again, and again, and again - we can help!! Or, if youve got a sore back after sitting on the edge of your seat for 2.5 hrs watching the not at all predictable, cerebral masterpiece that is AQUAMAN - we can help!! You can get in early by booking online http://theosteopathyclinic.com.au/book-now/

06.01.2022 Nice bit of research confirms what we see on a regular basis at our clinic. http://healthtimes.com.au//research-shows-osteopathy/1052/

04.01.2022 Just a thought while youre out late-night shopping...

02.01.2022 Our clinic has just registered as CovidSafe with the NSW government! Keeping you safe and healthy are our primary objectives, and our stringent infection control measures reflect that philosophy. Hand hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces you come in contact with have always been high on our priority list. Here is some of the extra precautions we have been implementing to do our part in limiting COVID-19 spread. We are continuing to ask patients to follow NSW Health dir...ective and stay home if they feel unwell and get tested/isolate if they exhibit any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. This is a condition of entry to our office building, as well as our clinic. Our usual late cancellation fee has been waived for patients who are unwell or exhibit any cold, flu, respiratory or COVID-19 like symptoms. We are continuing to ask all patients to wash their hands at our hand basin upon arrival. Alcohol hand sanitiser is also available at reception and treatment rooms. Since March we have been cleaning inside treatment rooms with surfactant cleaner, then disinfecting with 80% ethanol between each patient. Recently we have also been able to source a TGA approved COVID-19 killing disinfectant cleaner 2 in 1 - Viraclean by Whiteley Corporation. Equally effective, but physical energy saving for us, as we have to go through the wiping down process once using this product, as opposed to twice for the cleaner/alcohol disinfection method! This process applies to all surfaces likely to be touched - the treatment bench and all its handles, chairs, desks, pens, iPads. We have just been able to source TGA approved treatment table face hole covers for your extra comfort. We are aware your face comes in contact with the residue of the cleaning/disinfecting products used on the table, and have tried to limit that with disposable tissues or cloth covers that are washed in hot water and detergent (same process for all towels and gowns). These face hole covers will help with keeping your skin un-irritated. The reception area, desk and door handles are also cleaned and disinfected at an increased frequency. To encourage social distancing we are continuing to space patient appointments to avoid unnecessary contact in the reception area. Thank you all again for your overwhelming support of our small clinic. Stuart and Izabela
