24.01.2022 Today we discuss some key dietary advice that you can do at home to assist in reducing your period pain. Please know period pain isnt normal and its essential we get to the root cause of your health. You dont have to suffer in silence, thinking its normal. Food is the foundations for good health and can be extremely beneficial in any treatment plan. Food to consider 1. Warming foods... 2. Add turmeric, ginger and cinnamon 3. Fibre is your friend 4. 23.01.2022 Christmas is the easiest time to eat yourself into a food coma, and not know how to re-surface. I want you to go out today and buy these simple ingredients! Why? Because it makes a delicious smoothie, one you should start your day with. It is healthy, nutritious, and jam-packed with two serves of vegetables. Okay, so go and buy/ prep: frozen zucchini... handful spinach frozen banana 1 cup frozen pineapple 50mls coconut water (more if you want it thinner, less if you want it thick like a smoothie bowl) teaspoon grated ginger tablespoon collagen Blend all ingredients until smooth, and enjoy!

23.01.2022 I finally made the @baked_byace ice cream sandwich. I have made both their standard brownie and then this. To be honest, the cookies look great and they taste good too but their caramel brownies would be what I would make again. It sounds crazy because you use the same mix for both but I just honestly loved the brownie version more. Would you like to see me do more food reviews??

20.01.2022 PEANUT BUTTER Peanut butter was a hot topic on my Instagram stories last night. Sooooo many of you gave me your favourite brands of peanut butter plus so many of you also make your own peanut butter at home. I often make my own but sometime go for the convenience of pre made. In the past Ive made almond butter, peanut butter and even ABC butter.... Its super easy. Basically all you need to do is add your favourite nuts into a powerful blender and blend. Ive found peanut butter doesnt take as long as almond butter as peanuts are a lot softer than almonds. Let me know? Have you made your own nut butters? Was it a success? Whats your favourite to make. PS - With all this talk of nut butters now I want to make my own healthier Nutella version. How good would that be??

18.01.2022 Weathers getting warmer and many of us are looking for a cold breakfast alternative to porridge. Why not try a chia pudding?? They are fantastic to be made in advanced, the perfect grab and go breakfast or mid afternoon snack. I hope you enjoy the recipe ... Hayley xx Berry chia pudding Ingredients: 1/3 cup of chia seeds 1 cup of milk of your choice 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup 1 heaped teaspoon of collagen powder (optional) Berry mix: 1 cup of frozen berries 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Method: 1. Place chia seeds, milk and sweetener in a bowl and mix together. Allow to soak and absorb the liquid for an hour or overnight 2. For the berry mix defrost the berries and crush them slightly with a fork. Add the sweetener if needed. 3. Halve the chia mix and place into two jars and top with the berry mix

18.01.2022 NEW WEEK NEW GOAL Im not going to lie, Ive been burning the candle at both ends, seeing patients, working on our new membership platform, renovating a house in 30 days, plus getting ready for the busy season on the farm. This week is really about ME. Filling my cup back up, nourishing my adrenals, getting lots of rest, gentle exercise, yummy wholesome foods.... What are your plans for the week ahead??

16.01.2022 Confession time... why Ive really been absent on social media recently Today I wanted to share something personal with you. Some more information about why Ive been so absent from social media. Ive been hiding because you may think in parts of this story its not what a true naturopath should do. But I feel sharing this story will help so many of you. The key take home messages I want you to remember. ... 1. Dont put your health off, get help, theres always something you can do. 2. Out source to a health care professional. You cant be objective in your own health. 3. Stool tests arent as scary as they sound and can be really beneficial in your treatment. 4. Antibiotics are ok if you really need them. Just make sure you take your probiotics too. 5. Get your tank water tested or even better get a filter system on your tank. If you dont have an issue now, its honestly just a matter of time. See more

15.01.2022 Ive been trialing some better flour alternatives to make it easy for my clients to make healthy wholesome changes to the standard white flour. I made these pancakes with rye flour and I was AMAZED how well they turned out. Now rye and spelt arent gluten free but much easier to digest, plus being higher in protein and fibre. Ive also ordered some lupin flour which is coming this week which is gluten free and sounds amazing so Ill keep you updated. Lots of recipe testing is happening the kitchen at the moment for some exciting new things Im working on. Cant wait to share with you soon.

14.01.2022 How’s everyone feeling post Christmas? I had a lovely couple of days with family and then straight back into harvesting trying to get as much done before we got a little rain yesterday. After a couple a couple of days of enjoying Christmas and all the foods that come with Christmas and it’s left me feeling completely drained. Yesterday and moving forward I started to make sure my priority is to add extra vegetables to every meal as well as drink minimum 2 L of water per day. ...I’m back to fuelling my body with the food my body thrives on. This will help my body reset and get back to feeling at my best!! How do you get back into your normal routine?

14.01.2022 ROAD TRIP Well not exactly but I did hit the road to visit some clients in my local area. I love that I can pop round and help families in my community improve their health. We were hoping 2020 might have been the year to go on an actual road trip to some remote areas and offer events and services in their area but it mightnt be.... However we do have our thinking caps on for 2021 to connect, support and empower rural communities throughout Australia. Where would you like us to visit?

14.01.2022 Healthy meals dont have to be anything fancy. People often get caught up with fad diets and what not to eat. Instead of focusing on nourishing REAL foods. This was a quick and easy meal of wild caught salmon, roasted sweet potatoes, and some stir fry veg. I find I dont love cooking salmon but when I cook it and begin to eat it I LOVE IT! But someone stopped and asked me what a Naturopath actually does the other day, and it clicked in my mind for a moment, maybe not everyone understands what a Naturopath does. SO, I thought I would break it down into a couple easy explanations for you. 1We look at the WHOLE person. Get to the root cause of your health issues. 2We want to get ...long lasting results for patients, so there's not often quick fixes or bandaids. We are striving for those long lasting, sustainable results. 3Treatments will often include diet changes, lifestyle suggestions and herbs or nutrients.
