But I have mentioned before that I am avoiding sugary snacks (well, for all meals) while working from home Most of us are well aware these days about the impact of excess sugar in our diets have on our health & skin. Minimising your sugar intake will improve your skins functions, reduce inflammation, boost your energy & improve your ability to focus (to say the least!) While Ive been using this downtime to focus on... my own health issues, I thought I will share with you some goodies along the way because these Almond Coconut Balls... Im AM obsessed with this week 1 cup Almond Butter (unsweetened) 1/2 cup Shredded coconut (unsweetened) 1/2 Coconut Flour 4 tbsp Coconut milk (canned) 4 tbsp Coconut Oil Throw all in food processor till mixed, roll in hands to make little ball. Roll in Shredded Coconut or sprinkle with Coconut Flour. Put on plate & refrigerate for 30 mins. Easy Peasy. 03.01.2022 Hey guys This photo was taken a few weeks ago when I started a cleanse i wasnt going to share it but then over the last few weeks I been having many conversations about Gut Health & the struggles a lot of my clients have. Our gut is the epicentre of our health & wellbeing & its been something I have struggled with now for over 13 years. It was so taboo to talk about it back then so I think its important to talk about it now... Firstly, what is Gut health? Gut Microbiome?... (the very simple version) Your gut microbiome is made up of trillions of bacteria, fungi and other microbes. We have a mix of good bacteria and bad bacteria in our bodies. Mostly living in our digestive tract. When the good & the bad get unbalanced it effects our bodies emotionally, physically & psychologically (this I could talk about all day!) So you got it, I have a build up of bad bacteria in my small intestine. To heal & rebalance my digestive tract I am following a strict diet for 8 weeks. Avoiding all sugars that feed the bad bacteria. Im eating an abundance of leafy green vegetables, little bit of eggs, fish & chicken, Yogurt & sauerkraut (not my fav ) Lots of lemon water & herbal teas. Probiotics & goodies to assist my body removing the toxins. I have to remind my self that its not for forever & there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
