21.01.2022 Team Manager Mental Health - NSW $85K + Our client a not-for-profit community organisation based in Western Sydney is seeking a qualified and experienced Team Manager.... The Team Manager Strong Minds is responsible for the development and roll out of two new Strong Minds (Family Mental Health Support) Services in Merrylands Guildford and Auburn as well as the oversight of the existing Strong Minds Fairfield site. The main purpose is to ensure this team of 7 staff functions collaboratively to deliver services to families of 0-18 year olds who are at risk of or affected by mental illness so they reach their potential. This will involve a focus upon three areas of service: Intensive Case Management, Short Term Support and Mental Health Awareness to the broader community. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and sustain operational presence within three service localities, including setting up a new Western Sydney site and outlets for operation Build effective community engagement strategies to CALD communities, especially more difficult to access groups. Manage and coordinate all Strong Minds Teams. The focus will be upon supervision of direct service provision to one new team of four, and supervision the Fairfield Strong Minds Team Leader. Nurture best practice provision of services. The manager will sustain excellence of service provision through reflection upon practice and development policies to support ISO quality management accreditation. To be successful in this role you must have a tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Management or equivalent experience. Current management experience, preferably in the human services, experience working with children and young people with mental illness and demonstrated knowledge of mental health issues. Practical experience in case management, including case management to children and young people with mental health issues. Experience in delivery of services to Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse communities and a current Australian driver's licence. You will also have proven experience in human and financial resource management, an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures and sound knowledge of current and emerging alcohol reform initiatives across Australia.
