Commences 3pm finishing at 6pm The Robbie Jones Quart The Robbie Jones Quartet performs under the name of The Haze when they play Classic 50s rock ‘n roll. The musicians annually toured the northwest playing cabaret, including jazz and latin for multiple Shinju and Boab Festivals. These versatile performers lean toward swing and jazz and are influenced by Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin. You will enjoy the Quartet’s bright portrayal of popular standards and vocal harmonies. Lead Guitar and Vocals -Robbie Jones Sydney Conservatorium trained classical guitar teacher Robbie Jones has also been influenced by Django Reinhardt (Gypsy Jazz), Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Charlie Bird (Finger style), and also Joe Pass. Bass Guitar and Vocals Rod Christian Composer, teacher, producer, playwright. Rod composed two musicals Cruisin’ and the forthcoming Mates and has published a large composition ULURU for orchestra and choir. Tenor and Soprano Saxophone, Trumpet, Flugelhorn and Vocals - Greg Clarke Greg is influenced by Lois Armstrong, Boots Randolph, Herb Albert, and all the other great reed and horn players. Drums and Vocals Nige Ridgway Nige is a versatile drummer who completes the quartet. He also regularly fills in at the Tuesday night Jazz Club and was a member of The Storyville Jazz Band for decades.
